Love's POV
I knew as soon as Enzo's phone rang, the rest of our plans would be cancelled. I know we still have real jobs, but it was fun not worrying about it for a while.
Though I was excited for the rest of our day on the yacht, work was important, too. Hell, it paid me.
My heels clacked across the cement, back to the car while Enzo spoke on the phone. His foot steps stopped in their tracks when I heard him say, "I'm on my way."
"Where are we going?" I asked, ready to follow him.
He turned to me, and kissed my forehead. "You stay here and wait for Blair. Christian will meet me back at the office. I sometimes forget I have a job outside of my mother."
"Yeah, me too," I smiled. "Will you be joining me tonight for dinner? I'll cook."
He faked a surprised gasp. "You? Cook?" A grin appeared across his face, "I'll be at your place at eight."
"Okay. See you tonight." I kissed his lips and watched him walk away in his suit. A sight I'll never get tired of seeing.
I pulled out my phone to text Blair to tell her It'll just be us two for the day. She responded with a happy face and an, "okay," and that she'll be arriving soon.
The wind on the coast was strong, the water aggressively smacking against the boat.
I climbed onto the boat, and filled myself a glass of wine, and sat there in the sun. There was so much on my mind. This newfound relationship I had with Enzo has blossomed so quickly and I don't want to jinx it.
As I got lost in my thoughts, Blair had arrived in a beautiful pink slip dress and kitten heels. Her blonde hair pulled up into a messy bun.
"Love! I missed you," she greeted me with the sweetest hug and a kiss on the cheek. "You know about my odd fear of large bodies of water."
"I missed you more. I'll keep you safe. I'll be right back. I'm gonna go tell the captain we're ready to go,"
When I returned, Blair had already started eating the starter salad on the table.
I laughed, "hungry much?"
"You have no idea. I've been stress eating," She stuffed a fork full of croutons in her mouth.
"Stress eating?" I asked, feeling the crease between my eyebrows. "About what?"
Blair swallowed her food, and just looked at me with a frown.
"B? What's up? You're scaring me. If this is about Christian, he went with Enzo to the office. He wasn't blowing you off," I told her, hoping to get closer to the root of the problem.
"It is about Christian..." she trailed off.
"B? Did he hurt you? I swear if he laid a finger on you without your consent—"
"No! No, nothing like that." My face relaxed.
"Good," I took a swig of wine, "then what is it? You can tell me anything."
"Well, it is about Chris, but not in the way you think."
"I don't follow."
She exhaled, "we're just friends, nothing more. Because..."
"Because?"
"Because I'm not into guys."
"You're into...women?" I asked, and she nodded. "B, why didn't you tell me sooner?!" I practically launched myself around the table to give her the most reassuring hug. "You know I'd always accept you, no matter who you like."
