Chapter 27- talk

-jaylen POV-

After our bath we got dressed and came back to the bed and laid there for a second. I needed time to think. And I can only seem to do that when Parker is in my arms and at my reach. "Sooo... if you have DID who have I been dating"

Parker laughs at my question and says "well we haven't exactly established that we are dating jaylen" very true. I never actually asked him to be my boyfriend I just kinda told him he was mine and took his virginity. "Fine, will you be my boyfriend"

he stares at me like he's thinking "mmmm idk" he laughed as I playfully punch his arm. "Ok ok yes I'll date you" I smile at him and re ask my previous question.

He looks away for a second and says "don't know actually. I mean as far as I can tell we both don't mind being around you" he looks at me and smiles. I laughed as I poked his dimple. "Ok but what's the others name"

Parker moves and shifts our position. He sticks his hand out and says "Hi, I'm Chase" I shook his hand as I smile at him. "So do I keep calling you chase or Parker."

I tilt my head in confusion as I wonder what I call him. "Ok here's the thing. Chase is my actual name like government given name. Parker is the name Alana gave me when we moved here. So you can call me whatever you want really" he shrugs as he explains.

Ah that makes sense. I nod as I lay back in his arms. We lay down in silence for what seemed like hours. That's when we heard the front door open indicating my dad and brother are back.

Parker or Chase who ever this is right now moves me and begins putting on his clothes as I watch him. He gave me a questioning look. I roll my eyes and say "fine I'll get dressed" we both finished getting dressed so we go downstairs.

As we near the end of the stair case he leans in and says "roll your eyes at me again and I'll make sure you can't walk for a week." He walks passed me as I stay In my place stunned. Definitely chase.

The difference I notice between Parker and chase are dramatic. Parker is quite, reserved, he speaks when spoken to, he doesn't like confrontation but deals with it if he has too. Chase is the complete opposite.

From what I've seen he likes to provoke people, he has no filter, he's confident. I love Parker I do but can I get used to both sides of him? Maybe I can because deep down that's what I need sometimes. To be controlled rather than being the one in control.

I walk into the living room and see Chase seated with my dad and brother. Chase taps the empty space next to him. He wants me to sit next to him. He doesn't have to ask me twice.

  I move and take a seat while my Thomas and my dad watch carefully. "We need to talk jaylen" fuck my dad is being serious and so is Thomas. I'm screwed this talk can go one of two ways.

They beat the shit out of Parker for getting me pregnant or they simple threaten to kill him if he hurts me. I breath deeply " go ahead" I nod waiting for them to talk. "we're going to ask a series of questions and we want direct answers"

He nods waiting for them to continue. Thomas asks the first question "who are you right in this moment." He looks at me and turns back looking at Thomas as he gave him an answer "Chase"

Thomas nods and continues "is it just you and Parker in this system because as far as I know people with DID can have more than one alter" ok how does he know this much about did because shit not even I understand it that much. "Yes, just me and him"

Thomas looks satisfied with his answer and now it's my dads turn to ask "who trained you" chase was taken back by this question because he doesn't give a rapid response "Gabriel" that's the only answer he gave but my dad wants him to continue with his answer because he doesn't ask anything else.

Chase looks away I watch him as he struggles to breath. I'm starting to panic because he isn't responding. I grab his arm making Him turn to me. "It's ok if you don't want to" he breaths in deeply and says "the reason this happened to me to the point where I became a separate person from Parker is because of Gabriel. Everyday for a week he would tie me to a chair and make me stay there until I could get out on my own. He called it training but we saw it as torture. He would make me fight people twice my age, twice my height and if I didn't win I would be punished" my dad and Thomas look at one another like they didn't see this coming.

I look down as I remember what I do for my dad. I can't hide that from him. He sees himself as a monster. I know he does by the way he's pushing me away.

I watch him as his stance changes and his eyes flicker to me. He looks like he expected me to be mad and run out on him. This, this is Parker.

I know the difference and so does my dad and brother. "I didn't want to, but he made me and I couldn't help it" I grab his hand and take it in my own. That's when Thomas mutters "and Alana said jay would ruin you" he didn't expect Parker to hear this but he did. "What? She said that" he looks back at me with confusion in his eyes. "Parker, there's something you need to know before you hear it from someone else"

my dad leans in his chair pleading me not to say a word. But I can't keep this a secret when he told us his. He cuts me off and says the last thing I expected him to say "I know you don't have to say it" he says it so casually.

Does he know? Or was it a different thing. How does he know is my question. "I've known since that day jaylen. You have your ability's I have mine" I look at him stunned.

What the fuck. He's known this entire time but waited for me to tell him instead. Alana threatened me with it like a weapon and he knew this whole time. I was about to say it but Thomas bet me to it " so you're telling me Alana threatened her for nothing?"

Thomas starts to raise his voice as Parker snaps his head at him " what did you say. My mom did What? I don't understand" he looks back at me looking for answers "Parker, she told me if I didn't stay way she'd tell you and everyone what I do for a living" my dad has anger rising in his chest.

I see it in his eyes as he get of the chair. " when were you planning on telling me this?!" He's angry and I get it. What Parker does next catches me off guard. He also gets up and bolts to the door. "Parker where are you going what are you going to do?!"

I rush behind him as I can see the anger in his eyes. "Something I should have done a long time ago." Before I can reach him he gets in his car and speeds off
