Chapter 39- chase

-Parker pov-

Jaylen finished her bath as did I. She chose to wear a crop top with shorts. She said and I quote "I have to take advantage of it before I have to change my whole closet"

I was fine with it considering i get to see her tattoos which I have grown to love. Me and Jaylen were joking about baby names as we walked downstairs.

The mess we had made earlier was now cleaned up. I watch Alex throwing the trash. "Couldn't help yourself could you" he gets startled and yelled profanities at me for scaring him.

"Holy fuck don't sneak up on people like that idiot. And no I couldn't help myself." Just so you know Alex has a serious problem with cleaning.

I laugh and grab my keys on the kitchen counter. He gives me a questioning look. "We're going for some ice cream" his eyes light up at the word Ice cream.

Look at jaylen and she nods. She wants him to go. "You can come with if you'd like" he nods as he runs to go put on his shoes. I shrug at jaylen and laugh.

Seconds later Alex is running down the stair bolting into the car. Thomas is now walking downstairs as well "why is he running like a child in a store" Jaylen laughs as she's making her way to the door. "We're going for ice cream, and well let's say Alex would replace actual food for ice cream if he could"

Thomas smiles as i mentioned Alex likes ice cream. A lot. He asks if he can tag along and I nodded. Might as well bring everyone.

The environment in the car is full of tension. We probably shouldn't have done what we did. Now it's just weird for me at least. Jaylen has been looking at her phone weirdly. "Why are you making that face"

Thomas asks as he seemed to notice the faces she was making. She speaks up as I start driving "who names their kid Dick" I snicker at her comment.

She's still joking about kids names. Thomas then says "I don't know but at least it's better than Brady" he sutters as he says the name.

I laughed as did Alex. "You're just saying that because of a bad ex it doesn't count" I try me best not to laugh.

Because I know for a fact if I start laughing I'm not going to be able to stop. This time Alex gives his input "at least your ex isn't names after a fucking vegetable" kale...

I stop the car as we arrive at the ice cream place and just start cracking up. Kale fucking green. Worst of it all kale is a girl. It sounds more like a guy name. "What about you Parker what's the name of the worst ex you've have" Alex snickers knowing exactly who I'm thinking about. "Red their name was red" Jaylen tried her best not to laugh.

She covered her mouth and everything. We all laugh as we walk into the 24 hour Ice cream shop. The cashier welcomes us and asks us what we'd like.

I order for me and Jaylen because well we want the same thing. As Alex and Thomas order together I walk to where Jaylen sat.
I smile at her and she returns it. "Ok but what about Hela?"

She put her spoon in the banana split still asking about baby names. I shake my head "why would you want to name our child after the goddess of death and besides what if it's a boy?"

She seems to remember that we don't know the gender of the baby but she pushes it. "Nope I know it's a girl" I think about a name that we would both like "how about azula" she nods as she stuffs her face with whip cream. I smile and she says "you have the most cutest dimple ever" she reaches over the table and pokes my cheek and tells me to smile again. I tell her no but her doing that makes me laugh making me smile.
