I watch with Ben as my sister get harassed by a bunch of reporters. When they start asking her about her mother, Ben steps in to make them stop talking about that specific subject.
"Did you ever think you'd be with a villain, kid?" a reporter asks Ben.
He drops his smile and grabs Mal's hand before walking past the reporters. "Yeah, we're done here."
I go to walk after them, hoping that the reporters don't see me. But, a girl can never be that lucky, can she?
"Miss! Miss! You're one of the villain kids, correct?" one asks me.
I sigh and cross my arms, turning to the reporters. "I am."
"Did you ever think that King Ben would end up with someone of your kind?"
I laugh and scoff. "I'm going to ignore the obvious insult and say yes. By the way he was making googly eyes at Mal the first day, I'm not surprised. Are we done here?"
"Who's you parents?"
"Hades is my father," I say brightly. "And he'll steal your souls if I ask him to." I smile at the reporters becoming more scared of me.
"Harper!" Ben yells.
I nod to him. "That would be my que." I walk after them.
Fairy Godmother walks into the place I was standing. "This is still a school. So, if you are here, you are either skipping or trespassing. Now, please leave my students alone." She shushes them as they start talking again.

Evie dragged us both into our dorm room for fittings on dresses for the Cotillion. I'm laying on my newly decorated bed, flipping through the tablet that I stole the first time I was ever in an Auradon limo.
"Okay, Evie, I cannot breathe," Mal says.
"Well," Evie says, "you can breathe after the Cotillion."
I laugh. "I sincerely doubt that," Mal says. "I have at least 20 more events directly behind it. And I can't even remember what a single one of them is."
"Ah," Evie kisses the air, "Impeccable."
"Guys?" Mal asks, looking at her leather jacket hanging up.
"Hm?" we both ask.
"Do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?"
"That's funny," Evie laughs at the same time I say, "All the time."
Music starts playing on the TV.
"Ah," Evie says, "Look who's on TV." She grabs Mal's hand and walks towards the TV. The reporter goes on about Ben and Mal's relationship and them dining with Jasmine and Aladdin. Evie continues to sketch some things. Mal gasps and grabs out her spell book.
