Lucius' POV:

I watched her walk out of the coffee shop. Her curves moving as she walked. Until she had disappeared into the crowd and darkness.

And I was left alone.

The second I saw her sitting there I was interested. Not only was she gorgeous, but she had this... energy around her.

I was quite frustrated on how little attention she was giving me at first. Most women fawn at my feet, We go on a date, end up having sex, and I end with kicking them out. It didn't seem like this girl would fall for this.

I was genuinely surprised when she turned out to be a hufflepuff. She really acted like a Slytherin.

Usually, I despise other houses. But this time, I didn't mind it.

And on top of being a hufflepuff she also is Draco's age. I didn't expect her to be so young.
But if she's his age then that means she's about to go in her seventh year.

I wanted to tell her that I'll be working at Hogwarts this upcoming term with Severus, but she left too soon.

I guess it will be a surprise.

I will make this girl mine.

Olivia's POV:

Once I got outside of the coffee shop, I walked a ways down the street of diagonal ally. I was lost at thought, thinking about the interaction I had with the mature Malfoy.

I snapped out of my thoughts randomly to look at the sky. It was completely black. I had stayed out longer than I had hoped to.

I check my watch

9:07 August 20th, 1997

Shit

I was supposed to be back by 8'

I had no idea how I had lost so much time, just while talking to this man.

I quickly apparated, feeling pulled and twisted in every direction. The experience was similar to one you would imagine a simple hair tie would have. Although I know how to apparate safely and effectively, I never grew a liking to it; although, I don't know anybody who has.

Finally my feet were planted on to ground again. I found myself nauseated. Not nauseated from just apparating, but from standing outside the hellhole someone would call my home. It was small, way too small for the family it held. Rundown from all the actions the children thought they would get away with. And silent. Or that's what it seems like. Unless you saw the 'devils' in action, you wouldn't suspect so many people live in one small house. The house had a permanent silencing charm. My mother thought that nobody should have the misery of listening to us live. So nobody did.

Almost as soon as I collected enough energy, I walked up to the door, preparing myself for the madhouse that lay beyond it.

I opened it.

How foolish of me.

I should have just ran away when I had the chance.
But I couldn't have done that. Then I would be everything I tried not to be. My mother.

Once I went through the door, I immediately saw the chaos that was home. Kids everywhere doing whatever they liked. We really had a big family. I, the oldest, had four brothers, and four sisters. That makes us nine kids. Plus a mom. A currently absent mom.

I spotted the next oldest of this clan.
Everette. My 16 year old brother Everette. Although I am older and sometimes kinder than he is, he is much more mature and intelligent than I am. He's a proud Ravenclaw.

I found Everette changing the youngest sibling of our's diaper. Aidan. One year old Aidan.

Once Everette saw me from the corner of his vision, I saw relief and frustration on his face.

"Hey Everette." I tried to say it like it was four o' clock and everything was all cool.

He didn't buy it

"Liv. Merlin, where have you been?"

"At the cafe, what's going on?" I asked looking around for some sort of an adult.

"Logan refused to eat his dinner so mom spiraled and locked herself in her room."

Logan, my seven year old brother, was extremely picky. My mother didn't like that.

"How long has she been up there?" I asked

He looked at the worn down clock on the wall. "About two hours."

"Two hours?? Merlin. Okay let's get the younger ones to bed."
———————————————————

It was now the 29th of August. School started in two days. Everette, Katy, Tim, Amy and I are all going to Hogwarts this year.
I'm going into 7th, Everette is going into 6th, Katy into 4th and Tim and Amy are both about to start there first year. The four other kids are too young for Hogwarts.

I walk along with four of my siblings in Hogsmead. My mum is supposed to be taking care of the little one, so I'm taking the rest to get supplies.

"Yea so I'm gonna go meet up with my friends... I'll see you guys back here in a few hours. Cool? Cool." And with that, Katy ran off before I could even respond.

Katy was a Slytherin. The only one in our family so far. She always thought she was too cool to hang out with us... and she's probably right.

But I continued with my other siblings to the different shops. The most enthusiastic people of our group was clearly Tim and Amy. They were very excited for their first year at hogwarts.

We had gotten random things from multiple stores and were about to go into the robe store when

"Liv!"

I turned around, thinking this was just my brother yelling at me but he was looking at someone else. I turned my gaze to Draco Malfoy. Trying to hide his smile and walking over to me.

Draco was known for being rude and harsh to everyone. Which he was. To everyone except Hufflepuffs... okay, some Hufflepuffs.

I smile back. I didn't mind him, but I don't consider him my friend. His mood changes so often it's like like a rollercoaster.

"Hey Malfoy" I say. He keeps asking me to call him Draco, but I like making him mad and 'not obeying him'.

He came up and we started talking. We talked for a few minutes until the shop door opened and out came Lucius Malfoy.
"Draco whats taking so lo-" he stopped mid sentence seeming pleased and surprised to see me:

"Olivia"

There we go chapter two.
