August 31st

It was now the day before classes started, and we were at the station.

I kept trying to think of a better solution, a way for me to go to school this year. I finally realized that this was best for the family, especially for the youngests. I needed to stay.

We were all a little sad that I wasn't going this year, especially Everette. He has been so sad this week, it hurts me. But I don't blame him.

I hugged everyone Goodbye and now walked up to Everette.

"Hey. Promise me you'll take care of them for me?" I whispered to him.

"I promise." I could barely hear him he was so quiet, but I knew he meant it.

I watched all four of them climb onto the train while I had the littles with me.

I waved as they went off. I felt a tear fall down my cheek.

I can't believe this is happening.

Then we apparated home.

At hogwarts/Lucius' POV:

"Lucius. Are you even listening to me?"Severus asked.

Severus is the closest thing to my best Friend, and right now we were waiting for the students to arrive in his quarters.

This year I would be assisting him in teaching potions, as his responsibilities have grown over this summer.

"Oh yes of course I am." I lied

"Really?" He drawled. "Who are you thinking about?"

I shouldn't be surprised. I shouldn't have been surprised that Severus knew exactly what was going on with me before I did. But I still had that slightly shocked look on my face.

"Whatever do you mean?"

He glared at me. "Don't play dumb Lucius."

I hesitated answering. She is a student at hogwarts. I will be teaching her. It's not appropriate. I shouldn't be feeling this way.

"Are you aware of a student named Olivia Wilson?" I finally answered. I knew I probably shouldn't have, she's 17 and I'm so much older, but I can trust him.

"Ah yes." He turned and I swore he was smirking. "The Hufflepuff. You fancy her?"

"I met her at a coffee shop not too long ago." I ignored his question

"She's quite talented at potions. One of the only students I can stand." He paused. "Did you take her home." Now he was looking at me directly.

"No." I said it almost sharply. "She seemed... defensive."

"Hm I see"

Severus seemed glad that I hadn't slept with her.

"We should get to the great hall." Severus said and opened the door for me.
