It's been a couple of hours, but it was still complicated to understand. "So what you are saying is that this sickness is in my blood and it has been continuing from generations??" I asked from the nurse who bared all the questions as she ignored all the other work she had to do. I felt highly selfish and guilty but I couldn't hold myself with all the questions that came basting into my head, fact after fact she gave in.
"Yes. Its in your blood." She replied.
"Then what about my parents? My younger brother? What about my family relatives? Will they remember me if I meet them?"
"Well.. I don't know about your relatives like some will and some wont but your family wont remember you nor your brother but you don't have to worry, they are well aware of this sickness and will recognize you as soon as they see you, although they wont know about your personality or any other information about you ,expect the fact that you are their son."
"Oh......o-ok.." I actually regret asking that question cause it was obvious that no one would remember me. I walked up to the mirror and stood their staring at myself in hatred. "At least they will r-recognize me.. well that's a relief--Like I don't even remember them.. y-you know.." I said trying my best to give a proper smile as I looked down in pity.
"So.. is there anything else I-I should know ?" I changed the awkward moment as I recognized the nurse staring at me with her eyes filled with tears as if she was watching titanic.
"Sir if you need to know any information about your parents, we will be there for your support- at least I will be there" She said smiling as she wiped off her tears with her napkin.
"Thanks. Really appreciate it " I smiled
"So, is there anything else I should know ? " I repeated myself
"What do you mean sir?"
"Is there anyone actually remembers about me? Like I gotta survive !"
"Oh yes actually, there is this girl who comes every weekend here to meet you, even though you have forgotten her.. "
"Thats great news! Whats her name?" I asked in curiosity. "Finally! Someone remembers about me!!" I screamed in my mind .
"But sir she told not to give you any information about her" she continued.
"WHAT? That's Nonsense!! A little while ago I was all alone in this world and now I finally got someone who actually remembers about me, and you are saying this?! " I raged.
"I am sorry sir, she demanded."
"No! No. NO! Then I DEMAND to know HER name RIGHT NOW! " I stood up furiously although the nurse didn't give a damn about it.
"Please... "I begged.
"Ok I could give you one detail about her.. " I sat down immediately and paid full attention . " Hers gender is female." She said, trying her best to not to burst into laughter. Luckily she was wearing a face mask.
"...what? OBVIOUSLY shes FEMALE!! That's why we use 'she' ! Even though I have lost my memories ,Im not that stupid.."
"I said only one detail.. " The nurse repeated as she covered her face with the file on her hand. I could sense that she is enjoying this more than I do for sure. "So will you excuse me. I have work to do." She stood up and left the room laughing while I was standing there dumb as a post. "Is this how well educated people act? Poor patients .." I spoke to myself.
"Nurse! Lady!! NURSE-LADY!!!" I shouted as I chased after her. But no matter the number of times I called her , she didn't stop but it did grab the attention of other workers in the hospital and the people who kept glaring at me for shouting in a hospital. Thankfully, the nurse stopped at the reception.
"HEY NURSE! Tell me hers nam-" I slowed down my speed and lowered my voice. As she suddenly began to sneak upon to another person, who completely looked like a black dot walking around in the hospital: Black outfit , black shoes, black glasses, black mask, black hat.. "Definitely not working in this hospital or any other hospitals in the god damn planet for sure" I confirmed to myself as I tried to keep an ear on what they were talking about so I stealthily sat down to a near chair ,so that I would be able to know about this mysterious person and also the nurse.
