"Okay," John said, "At least we know what we're up against. I think we stand a much better chance if we all work together,"

I snickered, "Yeah, I don't think so," I patted James's back, "Let's keep going,"

He got the hint and kept walking. "Just 'cause you carry that shield doesn't mean you're Captain America,"

"Yeah, I think I kinda prefer the OTHER blonde guy trying to kill me," I laughed, feeling the blood rushing to my head.

Walker continued, "Look, at least we know what we're up against now, huh? And we're pretty sure it's one of the Big Three, so..."

Sam sighed, stopping slightly, "Aliens, androids, or wizards?

"Pretty sure,"

I cackled, "There's no such thing as wizards,"

"Wow. All right, well, then we gotta work together," Walker again said

"That's not happening," James retaliated

"I think we stand a much better chance if we all just..."

"Just like my pal here, James said," patting his back, "Just because you carry that shield, doesn't mean you're Captain America," I giggled, looking up at him.

He scoffed, "Look, I've done the work, okay?"

"You ever jump on top of a grenade?" James spat.

"Yeah. Actually, I have. Four times. It's a thing I do with my helmet. It's a reinforced helmet. It's a long story, but, any... Look, it's 20 miles to the airport," he rambled, "You guys need a ride. Guys. Gary, stop. Get in,"

As much as I didn't want to be anywhere near that blonde fucker, making Sam and James walk 20 miles didn't sound so appealing. "I think we should get in the car," I squeaked.

"No!" Sam and Bucky shouted in unison.

"So does this mean Sunshine here volunteers to carry me the whole 20 miles? I'm not a genius but my weight must be uncomfortable on your shoulder," I burst, my head throbbing from being upside down. I desperately wanted to walk or the very least sit upright.

He stopped to look at Sam, "Yeah, no. We... We should get in the car,"

"Fine," James huffed, taking me off his shoulder and handing me over to Sam.

Sam grabbed me and while he did his best to get me on the Jeep, I hissed in pain. "Ow. Ow. Ow! Sam, watch the leg!"

"You'll live," he sighed, helping James after.

Walker and Lemar were a bit curious about me. Though it wasn't odd for a woman to be on the battlefront, it was less expected for someone to travel with James and Sam.

"So, Where'd you get this pretty lady from?" Walker asked, smiling nervously.

"This pretty lady is more than just a pretty face," I hissed, making James and Sam laugh as I quickly shut Walker down.

"Does the pretty lady have a name?" Lemar coughed.

"Y/N,"

"Y/N...?" Walker said, puzzled. It was obvious he wanted to know my last name, maybe even more than that.

"It's just Y/N. Either you shut it or I'll shut it for you!" I said, pinching my fingers together, making his mouth close as I did so. His eyes widened in a panic when he couldn't open his mouth. He tried speaking, but all we heard were muffled words. "That's what I thought," I spat.

I let go of his mouth and he inhaled quickly, looking at everyone else in the car for an answer.

Nobody wanted to say a word.
