I smiled, holding Y/N's hand as we walked around the Glade, watching as everyone went along with their jobs. We were on our break, just enjoying one another company. "Hey, love?" I asked, pulling her from her thoughts as I kissed her cheek.
Y/N smiled up at me, kissing me softly before humming in response. "Do you think the Greenie'll try and run when he wakes up?" I asked, both of us laughing at the memory of the Greenie falling face-first onto the hard grass floor. We had to put him in the pit whilst he was unconscious to prevent him from running off towards the walls again.
"I don't know, Newtie. I hope the kid doesn't cause any problems for us, though..." She sighed, staring into space. I looked at her, seeing the worry in her eyes. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. "Come on, baby. I wanna show you something..." I smiled, dragging her off to the deadlands, a cheeky smile on my face. Y.N giggled, holding onto my hand tightly as we ran off further into the woods.
"Newt, babe, slow down!" She giggled, trying to keep up. I quickly scooped her into my arms, continuing to run unit we reached the spot I was looking for. I heard as the girl in my arms gasped n awe. She squirmed out of my arms, walking closer to the little lake. "Oh, Newt... It's so beautiful..." She whispered, leaning into my best as I wrapped my arms around her waist, kissing her neck lovingly.
I had discovered the lake a few weeks back and was planning on surprising Y.N with a date here. But I'm glad I showed it to her now. The smile on her face was worth ruining the surprise. "When did you find this?" She asked, turning around in my arms as I pulled her flush against my chest. smiled, caressing her cheek as I spoke.
"I was coming to collect fertilizer when saw it. I knew you had to see this." I smirked, kissing her softly, causing her to moan in response. I smiled, slipping my tongue into her mouth as we continued to make out. Soon, pushed her up against a tree, my lips working down her jaw and neck, leaving a trail of kisses behind.
My hands slipped under her shirt, caressing the warm skin under it. "Newt... not now..." Y/N panted, pulling away before kissing me once more. I smiled, laughing at the blush on her cheeks. She playfully smacked my chest before we sat at the edge of the lake, admiring the way the sun reflected off the water as it rippled.

We spent a few more minutes admiring it before the sound of Alby calling for us reeled us back to reality. I sighed, helping Y/N up as we made our way back into the Glade. I spotted Alby helping the Greenie around the Glade. Y/n looked at him n confusion and curiosity, making me frown. "What's wrong, dove?" I asked, kissing her ear lobe, causing her to squirm and giggle. "Nothing it's just... oh never mind," She smiled, kissing me once more before running over to Alby, causing me to smell and sake my head.
"Hey, Alby! what's up?" I asked, wrapping my arms around Y/N from behind, causing her to giggle and smile at me. Alby chuckled before responding. "Well, the Greenie s ready for the tour and I was wondering if your girlfriend and Chuck wouldn't mind giving him the grand tour~" Alby teased, causing Y/N to giggle as I pouted but nodded.
"Of course, I'll get Chuck on our way, but come on Greenie, time for the tour~" she giggled, leading him over to where Chuck was. Alby watched me as I sighed lovingly, smiling as Y/N waved cutely at me. waved back just as enthusiastically, smiling. "Wow, you really love the girl, huh?" Alby smirked at my flushed face. I laughed nervously as I rubbed the back of my neck. "Well, yeah... She's everything I've ever wanted and more..." I admitted, smiling at the mere thought of her. Alby fake-gagged, sending me off to do some work until the bonfire.
A few hours later:
I walked into our shared room, stripping off my clothes and stepping into the make-shift shower, rinsing off all the dirt and sweat from the gruesome day I've had. Alby really put me to work. helped plant the vegetables with the Track-Hoes, helped Winston with the Slicers work and even help the Builders with building a new foundation for the mapping room since it had gotten damaged due to the recent thunderstorm we had a month back.
The sound of the room door opening once more brought a smile to my face. I soon felt a pair of arms wrap around my middle in the shower, causing me to smile. turned around to see Y/N under the water, a peaceful smile on her face as she placed her head on my wet, bare chest. "Hey, baby girl... You alright, honey?" asked, kissing her forehead as she smiled, nodding not my best. "Just sleepy and really messed you~" She whined, pouting at me playfully. I laughed, rinsing off with her before we both stepped out of the shower, getting dressed for the bonfire.
Once we were all ready, we walked toward the others outside who were all setting up the bonfire. I smiled, kissing Y/N once more before helping out the others. I watched her as II helped stack the wood, smlign whenever she blew me a kiss as she helped set up the seating areas.
Once we were all set, she walked over to greet the other boys before dragging me off to grab some snacks from the Kitchen. I shook my head, chuckling as she whined for food. "Okay, baby. Calm down, we'll get your tummy full, sweetheart~" I teased her, causing her to frown and playfully glare at me. smiled, ksising her nose before helping her raided the pantry before Frypan could realise.
We all gathered around, cheering, eating and drinking, celebrating the arrival of another new family member. I wrapped my arm around Y/N as she rested her head on my shoulder, my other hand holding the flaming spear. Alby soon called out for us all to throw the spears. hurled men at the logs, watching as they lit up. II looked over at Y/N, smiling as she admired the fire. "Love you, baby," I whispered, kissing her as we both walked and sat n front of a long, leaning on one another as we just chatted.
Soon, Y/N and Minho were up and goofing about, drunk as usual. I laughed, smlign as Y/N ran around, blowing a kiss at me ever so often. I soon saw the Greene who I invited to sit with me. "Hey, Greenie, the name's Newt. You were pretty good at running this morning, though you had the chops to be a Runner, until you fell flat on yoruface~" I teased, the alcohol starting to affect me.
The boy blushed, ducking his head as he chuckled along with me. II handed him the drink, offering him to take a sip. "Here, put some hair on your chest..." I trailed off, laughing when his face morphed into one of disgust. He choked, spitting the foul liquid out of his mouth. "Ugh, what the hell did I just drink!?" He asked, his eyes widening in horror. I smirked before replying. "I don't know, Gally whipped it up." spoke, taking a swig before placing the jr on the log behind me.
I introduced him to the guys and explained all the jobs since the kid asked way too many questions. He sort of reminded me of Y/N in that way."Newtie~" "Speak for the devil." I chuckled, wrapping my arms around her as Y/N sat n my lap, her head resting in the crook of my neck. The Greenie looked over at the two of us, coughing a little at our seating position. "Ooh~ You're the Greenie! remember the way you ran today~ Very fast, but then you fell, and I laughed hehe~" he giggled to herself, mumbling as she continued to rest her head on me. The Greenie looked at me in confusion, to which I just brushed it off.
The night was filled with fun and games, including Gally and the Greene having a battle n the circle. Obviously, the Greenie lost. but he remembered his name. Thomas. A weird name if you ask me, We all congratulated him before wrapping up the celebration. Y/Nn had passed out from exhaustion and too much of Gally's 'Special Drink', so I carried her back to our room, saying goodnight to the others as we made our way to our room.
Once I set her down, she woke up a little, conscious enough to strip to her shirt and underwear before slipping under the sheet, snuggling into me once I slipped under the covers too. stroked her head softly, kissing her nose as she smiled, her eyes closed. "I love you, Newtie..." She mumbled, sighing as she fell asleep, but not before I got to reply. "I love you more, baby girl...". Soon, we both slipped into a deep sleep, happy with the day we had just gone through, and hopeful for the one ahead of us. As long as I'm with Y/N, I'll be okay...
