Y/N's POV:
I sighed, wincing at the shocked and confused faces that had appeared on their faces after my bold statement. "Wh-What did you just say?" Nick asked, still in a state of shock. I sighed in frustration before repeating myself, my jaw clenched. "I said. I.want.to.be.a.Runner. Is there a problem?" I asked, a pissed look in my eyes.
"Well-yeah! You can't just say you want to be a runner! That's not how it works" Nick laughed along with some of the others. I growled lowly, causing the whole room to fall silent. "And why the hell not! Everyone else is allowed the option of whether or not they want to be a Runner, why can't I !? You have all seen what I'm capable of. I was able to do some things that half of you shanks couldn't! So what makes me unfit to at least try to be a damn Runner!?" I asked in a state of rage, my eyes blazing with determination.
Minho stood up along with Ben and another boy who I did not know the name of. Ben spoke first. "How do you expect to be Runner? You're a girl! You couldn't even lift a crate, let alone run for hours on end! You'd just be dead weight!" He smirked, a few other boys agreeing with him. I smirked, a fire deep within me is unleashed.
"What did you just say to me, dumbass?" spoke lowly, marching over to him and cornering him against a pillar. Ben stared back at me before speaking. "You would just drag us down." He spat in my face. I smiled mockingly at him before wiping the spit off my face. I took a few steps back, spinning on my heel before walking. "See boys! She's even too weak to stand up for herself!"

I laughed, walking over to him and grabbing his shirt. "You know, if I hit your stomach in just the right spot, I could make you hurl up last nights dinner." I giggled in his ear, twisting his arm behind him before pinching his ear, my mouth right next to his other ear. "And if I kicked you in just the right spot, I could break your shin bone," I continued, kicking him onto his knees.
Then I pinned him to the ground under my boot before looking at everyone else in the room. "I get that you all underestimate me because I'm just some 'girl'. But remember, whilst all of you 'think' you could dominate me, I know I can. Whilst all of you think I can't even 'lift a crate', I'll be cleaning up the mess you all made; because unlike all of you, I have the brains and the brawn. So say whatever the hell you like but at the end of the day... I'm the one who has one of your best Runners pinned under my shoes, groaning in pain as I dig my shoe into his back." I finished, pressing my foot slowly into his back until he tapped out.

Both Minho and the boy next to him sat down, along with any other boys who had agreed with Ben. Nick cleared his throat, slightly shocked by my actions. "Well then, now that's been taken care of. I think we can all agree that Y/N can try out to be a Runner; she has more than proved herself capable of taking care of herself. Besides, she has a point; we'll never know what she can do without giving it a try. We have all the Keepers who can attest to how capable she is both physically and mentally. So, as long as she is still sure this is what she wants to do, then I'll see you tomorrow morning bright and early for training Greenie." Nick smirked, shooting me a smile and wink before adjourning the gathering.
I smiled, doing a little victory dance before going up to Gally. "That was amazing!" He scoffed in shock, high-fiving me. I smiled, thanking him. I felt someone tap my shoulder as I was talking to the rest of the Builders. I turned around to see Ben, Minho, Newt and the mystery boy all looking at me with guilty faces. I sighed, telling Gally that'd I'd talk to him later before facing the boys once more, a bored look on my face.
