Chapter 3: Freedom (Lionel and Jessica POV)

YESSSS!!!! FINALLY MY EXAMINATIONS ARE OVER!!!!!! After 9 months of suffering, holding back all my temptations( playing of computer games, slacking around the house doing nothing, going out of home on my bicycle and cycle to places throughout the whole island , playing badminton(my favourite hobby)
I was my school's badminton captain and had also taken part in national competitions competing against national junior players. However, due to the lack of play the past few months or I would say the last half a year, ALL of the skills I had acquired are gone, including my fitness...... Are all back to square one....
Nevertheless, it was also time for me to also polish up on my League Of Legends skills. I had worked at Starbucks a year ago during my end of year school holidays. And became good friends with the branch manager .Hence, knowing that I had ended my exams, he immediately contacted me and asked when I can start work as his store was in need of manpower. I said 3 days later .....
3 Days later
I reported for my first day of work after close to a year's "retirement".
But nevertheless, i reached my workplace and received a warm welcome from my manager. He then quickly ran through what are the daily preps before they open their business (presumably he knew i would have forgotten it after a year and he was right.)
Then. I told myself: I would not be able to attend the SNSD concert which would be held tomorrow in Singapore. Sigh I want to see Jessica in person! She is my top bias in SNSD! I would die with no regrets if I meet her someday. I want to go to their next concert here! Hence now must work and would have enough money to buy the tickets for their next visit! Ok first day of work! Let's start to earn money! Fighting!
Jessica POV
what should I do now? Tell Soojung about it? I think I would need to make a visit to to the US embassy. (As Jessica is American) But i would be leaving for Singapore tomorrow. Let me go check where is their US embassy located at.
Oh I found it! Whats strangely weird is that my lost brother is in Singapore and that would be the first country I depart for after Omma and Appa told me about that........
Hopefully they would have been able to keep track of his passport's movements. If they do not have it, I can approach the immigration authority department in Singapore.
Just then my roommate Tiffany came in and saw bits and pieces of used tissues around my bed. Every time I think about my brother, tears can't help but start to roll down my face...
She immediately asked me : " Hey Sica are you alright? What happened? Why are you crying? "I immediately wiped off my tears but it was too late. Fany saw it. I replied her" Nothing, i just watched a very touching show on my iPad." Oh no, she was using my iPad... my lie failed...
"Come on Sica, the iPad was with me for the past hour, you ought to have used a better excuse right? Tell me what happened!" Fany exclaimed.
Sigh. I guess i have no choice but to tell her what happened. "Okay Fany...........". It took me an hour to explain to her. She also was in tears after i explained to her about my story. She too had gone through similar experience, she found her long lost brother Stefan about a year ago...
To try to brighten the mood , Fany said this " Gosh,Sica we have so much in common! I guess we were fated to know each other ! Hopefully you can find your brother soon ! I would be glad to offer my help if you need me!"
I immediately embraced her with a hug afterwards..... Realising i have not finished packing for Singapore tomorrow,I asked Fany to pack together with me as she has not packed finish her luggage too.........

Hey guys sorry for the long wait! Was very busy every since the start of Chinese New Year.Immediately after CNY my teachers at school bombarded us with alot of Class tests and i had extra lessons everyday afterschool. I was too lazy during the weekends to edit my story. Sigh, procrastination is my biggest enemy. I am currently having a one week school holiday now but whats a holiday when you have so much homework and revision to do man..... Sigh, I guess this is the life of a 16 year old talking O Levels this year....
