"What happened now, Berman?" you asked the ginger standing in front of you.
"Sheila happened!" the girl exclaimed loudly, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms to her chest. You sighed, grabbing her arm and slowly pulling her closer to you.
You heard her breath hitch as she examined your face, her eyes falling from your eyes to your lips. You ignored her and pulled her right arm up, seeing the burn wound that Sheila had done to her.
"You need to stop messing around with them," you said as you took her into the patients' room. There were only two beds. You sat her on one of the beds and left the room to find your supplies. You came back into the room with some cream and some bandages.
You sat on the other bed and grabbed her arm gently. Since you were 15, you've worked as a nurse's assistant in Camp Nightwing. You used to work with Nurse Devine, but ever since she quit out of nowhere, a new nurse came in charge. Her name was Nurse Lane, and she was Ruby Lane's mother. You found the correlation of the two strange, and you often wondered why Ruby Lane's own mother took the job as a nurse at a camp.
But during your nurse assistant years, you had seen many kids come in and get their injuries checked. But something about Ziggy Berman intrigued you. You didn't know if it was her attitude or personality, or the way she would present herself, but something was interesting to her.
"Are you sure you're not getting yourself hurt to come see me?" you asked, smirking at the girl as you applied the cold cream on the wound. Ziggy blushed, quickly looking away. "No," she shook her head.
You knew the redhead had a crush on you, but you didn't like her back. She was 15 and you were 18, it was weird. You also had a boyfriend who you were completely obsessed with. There were picture frames of him all over your nurse assistant's desk, and a lot of people found it obnoxious--especially Ziggy.
Once you finished putting on the cream, you grabbed the bandages and wrapped it around her arm.
"Alright, all fixed," you said with a smile. "If I see you coming in here again, Ziggy, you might have to get kicked out of camp." Ziggy chuckled at your joke. It was true though. You wouldn't be the one to kick her out, but annoying Sunnyvaler head counselor Kurt would be.
You watched as Ziggy stood up and walked out of the room, but then she turned around and faced you. "Hey, um, before I go," Ziggy was biting her lip, "Do you know where my sister could've gone? My sister Cindy? She has brown hair and-"
You chuckled, interrupting the redhead girl, "Yes, Ziggy, I know who your sister is. But to answer your question, no, I have not seen her anywhere. I hope you do end up finding her though. Isn't she always with her boyfriend... what's his name... Tommy? Tommy Slater?"
Ziggy nodded. "Alright, thanks," Ziggy said with a small smile. You watched as she said goodbye to you and left the nurse's office.
