Alice popped up.

"Hey snitch." Said Alice, talking to Cindy.

"Shit you startle us." I said.

Cindy gave me a look.

"Oh like you haven't been cussing all night." I said, laughing.

"What took you so long?" Said Cindy, ignoring me & talking to Alice.

Cindy help her up out of the vent.

Alice looked around.

"You did it." Said Alice.

"We did it." Said Cindy, pulling her into a hug.

"Ok, careful, ok? This thing's like a million years old." Said Alice, touching Cindy's purse.

"I bought that a month ago." Cindy said, offended.

"No, I'm not talking about your stupid bad genius." Said Alice.

Then quoting the book, " ' blood will fall' "

"Satan's stone, ok? It was right there. All this time, buried under the moss, & I found it. I fucking found it."

"Found what?" Asked Cindy.

" three guesses." Said Alice.

Alice went over the the table & sat the purse down & open out & pulled out Sarah Fier's hand.

"What? What is it?" Asked Ziggy.

"It's Sarah Fier's lost hand." Said Alice.

"Nurse Lane... she's spent her whole life looking for this." Said Cindy.

"A way to stop the curse that took her daughter." I said.

" ' without her hand, her grip on the land holds firm. The curse will last until the body & hand unites.' " Alice read.

"This led us to the hand bone. And if the legend is true that means her body is still buried-" explained Alice before getting cut off.

"The hanging tree." Ziggy finished.

"We can end this. No more murders, no more curse. No more-" Cindy stopped & looked over at Tommy "pain. We can save shadyside. Tonight!" She finished saying.

I grabbed the hand and started looking at it blood drip down on it. Was my nose bleeding.

All of sudden my body froze & I started seeing written books, stones, a body in the ground, hanging, Sarah Fier."

Ziggy grabbed me taking me out of the shock.

"My nose...it bled on the hand and ... I think I just saw her. "

"Who?" Said Cindy.

"Sarah fier. She was angry." I said.

"We have to buried this thing- right fucking now."Ziggy said.

Cindy left and ran back and grabbed shovels, she handed me one.

"What are we digging with our hands." Said Alice, talking about her & Ziggy.

"You guys are staying here." Said Cindy.

"What I can hope just fine." Said Alice. talking about her broken leg, hoping on it.

She turn around, "I watched my dad go to jail when I was six. I watch my mom steal so I could eat. First time I cut myself I was 12. It was after-well you know when. And tonight... I watched your perfect boyfriend turn into a monster & killed the only person I've ever loved. I've waited my whole life for this. And now I've found it. Let me see this through. For Arnie, for Tommy. For shadyside." Alice said.
