The Dragon and The Princess

Chapter 3

•Lucy's POV•

"LUCY WAKE UP!!" I shot straight up out of bed and covered my ears.

"I'm a human you know! I have sensitive ears!!" I yelled jokingly but I still annoyed.

"Guess what!" Happy jumped up and down excitedly on my lap.

"What?" I groaned sleepily.

"You get to meet the other family in a few days!" Happy laughed in a rather cheerful tone.

"There's more dragons?!" I asked, amazed.

"Yup! Uncles, cousins, my aunt, and my dad."

"Really? I've always wanted to meet a lot of dragons!" I was so excited I couldn't take it anymore!

"So, when are they coming here?" I asked curiously.

"They should be here in 4 days..." Natsu recalled, trying to remember exactly when they were coming. I then looked down at my attire and blushed. A large section of fabric was missing from the bottom of my dress, exposing a bug section of my thighs. There were also a lot of little rips here and there along the waistline and chest area.

"Uh...do you have something nicer than this that I could wear?" I blushed again as Natsu and Happy both looked down at my clothes.

"Step into the closet over there and think of something and your thought will become an outfit." Natsu explained as he pointed to the closet.

"Okay, thanks." I smiled and then quickly scurried over to the huge closet and stepped in.

Can this seriously be happening? Am I living with a dragon? I stepped out of the closet, and looked into the mirror on the outside of the  closet door. Let me tell you, what I had on made me look... Pretty good looking . It was a knee length dress. It had small, sparkling, golden dragons on the bottom of it, and the whole dress was a ruby red color. Salmon pink and a darker shade of pink were making flames from the bottom of the dress to the top. The dress was also strapless and I had light pink heels to match the salmon color on the flames of the dress.

"W-Woah..." I stared at the mirror in amazement.

"L-Lucy...." Natsu stared at me, not finishing his sentence.

"So, how do I look?" I smirked, because I made Natsu blush.

"Like a model!" Happy yelled flying around looking at me.

"Uh...Lucy? Why is your dress the color of my scales, the pink the color of my hair, and it has dragons on it?" Natsu asked blushing like a maniac.

"I-I don't k-know." I stuttered, a dark blush becoming visible on my cheeks.

"They liiiiiiiiiiike each other!" Happy yelled, making his tongue roll on the word 'like'.

"W-W-Whatever!" Natsu raised his voice, hiding his face in his arms.

"I-It's not that you l-look bad in the dress, but, I was just asking." Natsu replied, slowly taking his head out of his arms.

"Oh, I really don't know. But, what's the catch for you giving me these clothes?" I asked as I crossed my arms over my chest. There's always a catch.

"So you're smarter than you look." Natsu laughed. That's it. I lost it.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked angrily as I ran to the corner of the room, steam practically coming out of my ears.

"I think she's mad at you because she thinks you called her stupid." Happy said giggling.

"Oh no! That's not what I meant!" Natsu exclaimed worriedly, freaking out. I heard someone loudly trot across the floor and grab me by my waist, then placing me back on the bed.

"H-Hey!" I yelled, after I realized it was Natsu. I was not happy with him.

"Hey Lucy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to call you stupid. Forgive me?" Natsu whined giving me puppy dog eyes. Well... I guess I can't say no to those eyes.

"Fine. But what do we have to cook for the other dragons?" I'll forgive him, for now.

"Me and my dad like spicy foods, Wendy and her mom are vegetarians, Gajeel and his dad like metal, and lastly Laxus and his grandpa like a surprise." Natsu said, letting out a deep sigh.

After a few moments of thinking, I realized I've already got it all figured out in my head. I know what I'm cooking for his dragon relatives now!

"I already know what I'm cooking you and your dad, Gajeel and his old man could have metal scraps, and Wendy and her mom could have salad. But for Laxus and his grandpa, I don't know." I explained, scratching the back of my head, deep in thought. Natsu looked at me wide eyed.

"What?" I glanced back at him curiously.

"You've already got it all figured out...don't you?" Natsu replied. At least sombody finally knows I'm smart. Maybe he shouldn't call me dumb next time!

"I think I know what I'm going to do for Laxus and his grandpa!" I stated, sighing in relief I had it figured out. Natsu started cheering, picked me up, and l-licked me.

"S-Sorry Lucy, I just got a bit to excited." Natsu stuttered apologetically. Happy looked at us, his eyes as big as dinner plates.

"Hey Happy, what's up?" I asked as I picked Happy up and cradled him in my arms. Happy just kept on looking at us like the world was ending.

"Nothing, it's just that Natsu's never don't that before." Happy shrugged it off and crawled out of my arms, curling up on my lap instead.

What did Happy mean, it was just a lick.
