"Hey Mum, I'm home!" I yelled from the front door.

I ran to the kitchen and hugged her quickly then leaned on the fridge with my arms crossed. Mum looks very similar to me, she had dark skin, bright eyes and very tall, the only difference was was that her hair was much longer and slightly darker than mine.

"Hey bub, how was your first day at school?" she replied smiling, she was busy cooking.

Mum was always there for me through everything. She was like a motherly best friend; she even joked around and got into mischief around the town with me. That’s one of the reasons I loved her so much.

“It was great, I made two friends!” I said enthusiastically also holding a huge smile on my face.

I turned around and searched the fridge for something to eat.

“Well, are ya’ gonna’ tell me their names or what?” Mum asked, laughing a little.

I turned back around to face mum with a carrot in my hand, which I had already started to eat.

“Well; their names are Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. They are actually total opposites, Sasuke is shy, quiet and sort of moody. But Naruto he is really funny and outgoing” I said taking another bite of the carrot.

Before Mum or I could say any more, Hunter had butted in with his loud mouth.

“You should invite them over so I can meet them too!” He yelled excitedly with a smile on his face, he was standing at the door way holding the ball.

Mum just laughed at him.

“Yeah I will, maybe not tomorrow but the next day, I’ve got the ninja exams tomorrow” I said walking over to Hunter. That also reminded me that I needed to practice my Transformation jutsu.

I gave him a big hug before telling them that I would be home later I needed to practice for the exams tomorrow.

I left the house and started to walk to the training grounds. The sun was still out and wouldn’t be going down for about 1 or 2 hours yet, that would give me plenty of time to practice. The area was really empty which I was happy about, I didn’t really like being around people.

I remembered the hand signs for the jutsu we had to perform in front of the class and Sensei. It was the transformation one, which was really simple. Soon enough I had perfected it, so I decided to do some taijutsu work. For the next hour I was just working on that.

“Your taijutsu skills are good but you have the potential to do so much better” said an unknown person.

I turned around quickly, grabbing my kunai from my holder on my leg. It was a boy. From what I could see he looked a bit like Sasuke, he was at least a few metres away from me.

“Oh, thank you” I replied slowly not knowing what to say, I was standing in an awkward position still holding to the side of me.

“There is no need for your weapon” He said calmly, also walking closer to me.

I looked at him curiously before leaning down a little to put my weapon away. “Who are you?” I questioned, looking at him directly.

“My name is Itachi Uchiha” He said keeping his eyes on me.

I was about to open my mouth before he continued “I already know who you are, your name is May-Elle Aijou”.

How did he know that? He looks too old to be as student in the academy so he wouldn’t know me from there.

“How did you know my name?” I asked him, trying not to show any signs that I was scared.

“It’s okay” He said trying to comfort me. He continued “You are my brother’s friend, Sasuke. It’s odd; he actually smiled because of you and let you hug him. He hasn’t smiled since before what happened with our family” Itachi stated looking at the ground, then looking back up to me.
