"this is cold, can we hurry up with it?" i asked while continuing to stare at the ceiling
"holy shit!" doctor pierce said out loud causing everyone in the room to turn in his direction
"it's true, he's pregnant" he said pointing to the screen of the ultrasound
i first looked at zaniyah who had a happy expression on her face—i take it she'll be babysitting, then to amauri who's expression was hard to read. it was kinda surprised, happy, angry, a mix of everything honestly, and i felt the same.
"so, where exactly is it? because i'm a nurse, and an educated person in general so i know babies don't happen outside of uteruses. and as far as i know, i don't have a uterus. so where's it at?"
"actually i've seen a fetus grow on a liver before, in a woman of course. it didn't survive but...anyways it seems your larger intestine has created a make shift uterus outside of it to house the fetus. basically it has secluded a section for it, whether or not this is feasible we won't know until the fetus grows a little more" doctor truman answered
"wait, what do you mean?"
"your large intestine can get but so big without causing you health problems. it may feel like you haven't been pooping for months which in turn will be very painful. since this has never happened before i don't know if your body will be able to comprehend that it's a fetus and not feces. your body is smart and will react accordingly, so if it recognizes a fetus we should be in the clear, but since you're male i can't say if it will recognize it. if not it will probably attack it to protect you. however i'm semi-confident it won't being that it created a space for the fetus, meaning it already recognized that something is happening. whether it recognizes exactly what is the question. but like i said we won't know for sure until we see more growth. as of now you look about nine weeks"
"alright. next question, where the hell is it supposed to come out of?"
"more than likely we'll deliver surgically, if we even get there. it'll be quite impossible for you to push naturally via anus. the pain alone will probably kill you, not to mention the infections and our uncertainties since once again this has never happened before. so yeah c-section if you want to call it that"
"so like, how is this possible?" amauri asked while standing there looking like a 21-year-old super senior in high school
"we do not know. it's not possible. as far as we know he does not have any eggs, so i'm unsure what the sperm cell combined with. but we're going to be spending the next few months trying to understand it. it's also critical we examine sevyn every week. the male body is not equipped to house a fetus. we are not certain about a single thing. for all we know the fetus can very much be killing him slowly which at that point we'll be forced to terminate. we dont even know if it's what we classify human per say, just that it is life. we will need to run tests, lots of it and on both of you. we need to see what made you two out of the millions achieve the impossible. i understand your fear of becoming a science experiment, but this is why we're making it worth your while"
