Y/N's POV.

"Did you have have fun?" Courtney asked as soon as I unlocked the door allowing her to walk in, in front of me.

I turned to lock the door behind me and took off my jacket. "Uhh I wouldn't say fun."

"Hmm you definitely could have fooled me." She said as she walked around me and towards the kitchen.

Ok, so I can obviously sense the attitude coming from her. Now I just need to find out what the hell I did to cause it.

"Oh yeah, why is that?" I asked as I followed behind her. She turned back to me and slammed the wine bottle down on the counter. Surprisingly not cracking it.

Before either of us could say anything there was noise coming from the stairs making us both look that way.

It was the babysitter Stella. "Hi you guys, did you have a nice night?" She asked with a smile.

I rested my hands on my waist and glanced over to Courtney before back to her. "It was as pretty good. How was my little munchkin, huh he didn't give you too much trouble did he?"

Stella laughed and waved me off. "Oh no never. He was a little angel as always."

I reached into my pocket pulling out 6 hundred dollars and handing them to her.

"Thanks so much Stella. You're good to go tonight alright."

She smiled and nodded picking up her purse. "Of course Y/N. Anytime, have a goodnight sir."

I smiled and waved at her as she walked out of my site.

"Now." I sighed deeply as I undid my shirt. "Courtney tell me what your damn problem is."

She chuckled and shrugged. "Well if you don't know, why in the hell should I tell you?"

I sighed refraining myself from saying anything smart. "Is this about Ariana?"

"Obviously. You were all over her at dinner!"

My eyes grew wide and I pointed to myself. "I was all over her? Are you serious right now Courtney?"

"Yes, I am Y/N! Getting up and pushing her chair in for her, the endless eye contact. You may not have noticed but I sure did."

"Look I get why you're pissed about the whole pushin the chair in thing because I could have done without that. But everything about the eye contact, I have no idea what it is about. Everything was innocent and I was only trying to be nice."

Courtney stared at me for a moment before walking around me with a glass of wine in her hand.

I followed close behind her and upstairs waiting for her to speak.

"So, do you have anything to say?" I asked with a shrugged.

"Nope."

Closing my eyes tightly I shook my head. "Why are we even arguing about this?"

"Why? Because you keep leading me on! If you want to be with her so bad then just go and do that."

"I'm not leading you on Courtney. And I don't get why you keep throwing that in my face. You know that I was in love with her. But so what, it all ended forever ago, yet here we are still fighting about her."

Courtney looked at me through the mirror as she undressed but still remained silent. It was starting to really upset me cause I just didn't know why. She's the one who took it upon herself to invite them to eat with us, not me. But yet here we are, arguing back and forth over irrelevant bullshit.

"You know, maybe you guys are just meant for each other." She whispered making me roll my eyes.

"Courtney do not even start this shit again." I said as I sat on the edge of the bed. "You do this every time."

"All I am doing is simply stating what I feel Y/N. You're not showing me anything different!"

"How am I not, wasn't this what tonight was all about? We were going out on a real date for the first time ever, so that I could show you I was serious about this. You're letting one simple thing make you have all these doubts!" I spoke raising my voice slightly becoming frustrated. "It's really crazy to me Courtney, I mean you willingly invited them to sit with us. When I was perfectly fine telling them to go away. But somehow I'm the bad guy, cause I pulled out a seat and looked her way a bit too long. If you don't really want this, then just say so now."

Courtney stared at me for what seemed like forever until she finally decided to walk over to me. "Baby I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you do upset. It's just when it comes to her, I'm so insecure. And I know she hurt you, but it's hard not to feel like there's still something there. And I do want this Y/N, I really really do. I just get scared."

"Well there's not. And you shouldn't be insecure Courtney, you're wonderful and beautiful. I wouldn't be right here with you if I didn't wanna be."

She smiled shyly and nodded as she took a seat on my lap slowly. My hands immediately going to her waist as her wrapped around my neck.

"I just want you all to myself. If I have to share you then this isn't going to work."

I nodded and pulled her face down to mine. "You got it babe."

The Next Morning

Early the next morning I woke up to my phone ringing in my ear. With my eyes still closed, I reached over for the phone and answered it.

"Ughh, yeah?"

"This is a collect call from.. "Josie Perez." Press one to except this call."
