Chapter 15: Pirates of Awa

[Mee-Yon's POV] 

        *sighs* Everyone is being unfair again. They get to go see the city and let Shin-Ah to guard our own little territory again. While I, in the other hand, don't want to go because... if Shin-Ah can't go then I don't need to go too. Fair enough for me. I just can't believe that Hak got in trouble out of nowhere and of course, we didn't know about this until they have to confirm this yesterday. Aigoo! I looked at Shin-Ah, who was sitting in despair for a moment. You know... I really feel bad for him not going anywhere. Speaking about bad.... I feel... icky. Well... a ninetail fox must bathe at a certain point... and it really can't be helped too. This might take a while... 

Me: Umm... Ne, Shin-Ah... 

Shin-Ah: (still in despair)

Me: [thinking] Oh boy... I totally feel bad for him. [speaking] There's a lake beside our territory so... I'll be there. Just come or ask if you need me, okay? 

        There was no reply so... I'm assuming it's an okay then. I quickly walked toward the forest for a moment and saw a lake not far from our territory. Not too big nor too small it's just right, and it also has a waterfall too. I checked around my surroundings just to make sure. I slowly strip my clothes, took off the spools on my hair, and remove the bandages that were wrapped around my body, which were the whips from Shin-Ah's village. The wounds were healed for a moment or so as I slowly came towards the waterfall. The water was cool and I didn't mind. Feeling like the rain pouring down water onto my skin. Well... it took a minute or so to bathe for a moment. I got out from the water and put on my dress robe on. Luckily, I have long hair to cover my body. As I finished fixing my robe, I make sure that the necklace was on my neck and my ankle bracelet on my left ankle, and for a quick notice, I braided my hair on the side and head back to Shin-Ah. He's still in despair. I don't know what to do, but... I'm gonna act like a little kid again. I quickly sneak behind him and cover his eyes (on his mask) with my hands. 

Me: Guess who? 

Shin-Ah: M-Mee-Yon?! What are you--

Me: Tag! You're it! :D Better catch me! (starts running for a bit then turns around) Shin-Ah? 

Shin-Ah: Oi, I'm really too old for this. (stands up and puts Hak's weapon on a tree) Isn't this just too childish for us both? 

Me: (pouts) You're no fun at all. Fine then... [thinking] I guess this will have to do. (walks towards him and gives him a hug) Feeling better? 

Shin-Ah: .... 

Me: *sighs* Oh well then... (a pat on my head) Huh? 

Shin-Ah: Tag you're it! :D (starts running) 

Me: Huh? EH?! O___O I thought you think it's childish?! No fair! Shin-Ah! (starts chasing him)

        We then start acting like little kids again. Always playing tag and playing pretend to be explorers to see the outside world beyond. I felt... those days were all just yesterday. Well, it feels like yesterday. 

Me: Got ya! (got Shin-Ah then trips on a small pebble and fell on top of him) I... fell again.

        My hands were near to his face and we were kind of a few inches from to each other. He is still wearing his mask while my braided silver hair was hanging like a rope beside his face. 

Shin-Ah: You're really quite clumsy, you know? 

Me: (pouts) I know... But... when's the last time.... that we get to play tag?
