Young Izumi outside watching the young Bakugo Katsuki show off to all his other friends his new quirk. Izumi couldn't help but smile with astonishment adorning her eyes.
"Kacchans going to be the best hero with that quirk!" Izumi said to her friend with the explosive quirk.
Bakugo turns to look at Izumi, "Of course I will be the number one hero, protecting you!" Bakugo said with a smug grin on his face. Izumi couldn't help but laugh. She was hoping she would get her quirk sooner rather than later so she could be just as cool as the Young Bakugo with his explosive quirk.
The day went by with all the four year olds laughing and having fun with the few showing off their new quirks. The day finally came to an end and they all had to say their goodbyes.
Izumi walked home with her mother, hand in hand, talking all about how cool 'Kacchans' quirk was. "When do you think I'll get my quirk?!" she had asked Inko Midoriya, her mother.
"Well, why don't we just go get it checked out tomorrow then," Mrs. Midoriya replied to her now beaming daughter.
Then night went by quite quickly and Izumi went to bed, saying her goodnights to her mother and to the Bakugos in a picture frame. When the morning finally arrived Izumi quickly got dressed, as fast as a little four year old could, and ran downstairs to the delicious smell of pancakes. She quickly ate with her mother, and almost choked to death.
"C'mon, c'mon! We need to hurry!" Izumi expressed to her mother trying to drag her out the door. Mrs. Midoriya just laughed, and smiled not knowing that this would be the last time she would ever show any care for her daughter. Helping Izumi buckle up in the back she walks to the drivers side and gets in, buckling herself up.
After about ten minutes of an endless drive for Izumi they finally arrived. The mother and daughter pair go into the building with little Izumi jumping with joy.
Finally getting in to see the doctor, Izumi sits with anticipation in the seat with her mother right next to her. The doctor comes in with a look on his face, one Izumi couldn't quite figure out.
"I'll have to apologize but your daughter is quirkless," the doctor said without holding back. Izumi freezes, she completely stiffens in her seat, a smile still on her face with dull eyes. The air in the room grows really cold. Mrs. Midoryia thanks the doctor and practically drags her child out to the car.
The car ride was silent the whole way back to the Midoriya house. When the two finally reached the house Mrs. Midoriya, or should I call Inko, grabs her child and drags her into the house and throws her against the wall, glaring at her.
"I never asked for a quirkless nobody like you so listen here," Inko practically growls out with poor Izumi shaking on the floor, while a bruise forms on the back side of her head, "You will do whatever I ask of you so start grabbing your things, we are moving now," Inko walks away straight to her room at the end of the hallway and slams the door shut. Izumi shakily stands up and walks to her room, tears start to fall. You could hear the poor little girl's sniffs and quiet cries, fear taking over so she doesn't anger her mother anymore.
The rest of the day went quite fast, with little Izumi packing up her things, putting books and her notebooks in one box, and her clothes in the other. She ended up skipping lunch but fear kept her in her room doing what her mother told her to do. By the time she finished she could smell food coming from the kitchen. Izumi quietly opened her door and walked down the hallway. She looked past the corner to see her mother had started putting, what she assumed to be, dinner on plates, or should I correct that, a plate. Inko put the rest of the food in the fridge and sat down at the kitchen island only to see Izumi peaking around the corner.
Izumi, frazzled, walks from behind the wall, "U-um... may I have some fo-ood?" Izumi manages to stutter out while looking at the floor, feeling Inkos glare boring holes into her.
The next thing she knew was that a knife flew right past her head, scraping her cheek. Izumi's eyes widened, as she shook. "Do you really think you deserve food, you good for nothing child!" Inkos voice only rose, "Come here," she demanded. Izumi shakily made her way over to her mother with blood running down the left side of her face.
When Izumi made it in front of her mother, now standing, she was smacked hard across her face. "Now, you are dropping out of school now and you will do all the chores of the house while I work, but we are moving tomorrow morning so I will be getting rid of things you don't need," Izumi still petrified nodded her head, "good, now go grab the things we can sell and put them in the living room, someone later is going to come pick them up," Inko turned around and sat back down eating her now room temperature food.
Izumi slowly manages to walk back to her room. She closes her door, and tears start to pour from her eyes. She couldn't hold in the sobs anymore. Thoughts go through her head, overflowing her. "Why couldn't I just get a quirk? Will I get to see Kacchan again? How will I learn if I can't go to school anymore?" the thoughts just kept pouring out of her mouth, and this is where the rambling started. She sat on the floor for about thirty minutes before she realized she needed to get things done so her mother wouldn't hurt her again. She grabs the boxes she doesn't need, her hero merch, most of her clothes, hero books, shoes.
She started taking stuff to the living room seeing her mother talking to someone at the door, she kept her head down so as to not be noticed. Luckily it worked. Izumi managed to get everything to the living room without being noticed.
Izumi sighed with relief, back against her door. She slid down the door staring out the window. The moon slowly coming up, with bare walls, two small boxes on the floor, an empty bed, empty closet and dresser. Izumi only wished, wished it wouldn't get worse, but this was only the beginning as she fell asleep against her door, moonlight shining on her angelic, beaten up, little face.
Thanks for reading! If anyone actually reads this I'll be amazed. I suck at writing stories. This is the third story I've started in I think three months now. I haven't even finished the other ones. I hope you liked it, I have a little bit of knowledge of where I want this to go but I dunno how well it's going to go. Also, if you could help me correct things that would be helpful! And the meme at the top has nothing to do with the story, it's just there for entertainment, but I guess that is what this is too, oh well. See you in the next chapter little sweets!
