Exciting News, but what now?

When Nora arrived at the airport, you picked her up and took a taxi to her cousin's appartment.

"Naw Y/N i missed you!", she tries to hug you, with all of her bags in between of you two, on the backseat. You chuckle; "I missed you to, this has been a really crazy vacation so far." "Yeah, no kidding.", you both laugh. "And you, you cute, little, fluffy creature. I've missed you the most, of course!", you cuddle Loki, who is sitting on your lap, on the head and give him a little kiss on his little nose.

When you arrive at Noras Cousins Appartment, Nora starts to unpack her stuff and you also make your self comfortable. You even have a whole room for yourself.

In the afternoon Nora tells you and Amy, her cousin, that she has some exciting news to tell. She wants you to come to the kitchen to tell you. You can see how excited she is and that makes you excited too. Her eyes shine and she seems so happy.

"So Y/N, actually i wanted to tell you as soon as it happened," she starts and you look at her very courious because Nora isn't good at keeping secrets at all, "but then I decided to wait so I could tell you both at the same time.", she can't hide her smile. "Oh cmon now, don't make it so thrilling for us!", Amy exclaims, infected by Noras bright smile.

"Okay, Okay", she laughs "I keep it short. Uhm so so Amy, you know Mel right?", Mel is short for Melanie and she's Noras girlfriend. The two of them have been together for over 5 years. "Yeah of course", Amy chuckles. "Okay here's the thing...", Nora seems very nervous and excited. You notice her fiddling with her hands, apparently hiding something. Omg, is that a-

"She proposed to me!", she almout screams excitedly an jumps in little circles. "OMG NORA, CONGRATS!! AHHH", You squeal and try to hug her somehow, while Amy also cheers and congratulates her. "Wait, did you wear the ring all the time since you arrived at the airport? How did I not notice?!?! This is so great!". "YES! I know right? Omg i lover her so much, this is gonna be great! I only whish she could be here now and not at this stupid seminar."

Amy brings a bottle of champange and you toast. "It's only for special occasions.", she says, and the three of you begin to talk about the wedding and Noras engagement ring. It's a beautiful silver ring with a cute small crystal on the top.

In the evening you are a little drunk and before you go to bed you look at your mobile again. One new message. Oh it's from Tom. 'Hey Y/N, i hope you had a nice day. I just wanted to tell you that I'll go on a walk with Bobby tomorrow. About 12pm at the Central Park. Wanna join us? ^^ Just let me know and I'll tell you the Location. Good night and sleep tight.

"Hey loki, wanna go to the Central Park tomorrow and meet someone new?", you ask with a calm voice, because Loki's already cuddled up in his dark green doggie bed. He doesn't move, but you can see one of his ears is twitching. You chuckle, "Sleep tight buddy." You pet him on the head and go to bed as well. Of course you forgot to remove your makeup.

The next day

When you wake up you can already hear Nora and Amy talking in the kitchen. The sun is shining in your room and you slowly get up. You look over to Loki who's already awake and chewing on one of his favourite toys. "That's a good boy", you say and smile at him.

After you ate something you get ready and put on shoes. Nora walks in; "Oh hey, on your way to meet lover boy?", she giggles and winks at you. You roll your eyes but have to smile too when thinking about meeting Tom again. "Btw, i took loki on a short walk early this morning when we went to get a coffee." "Thank you, i already thought that because he's so calm.", you smile at her and take you jacket and the dog leash.

"Loki! Come here my boy. We're going for a walk!", you call for him and within seconds he comes running, already excited for the walk. You put on his green Collar to which you have attached the paw shaped key-ring.

When you arrive at the location Tom told you, he's already waiting for you and you can see little Bobby waiting next to him. You go towards him; "Hey, nice to see you". You smile and when he turns around you can see his eyes lighting up."Hi, Y/N.", you shortly hug eachother.

"And who is this handsome boy?, you say in a childish voice and crouch down so that bobby can sniff your hand. You pet him on the head and stand up again, so the dogs can get to know eachother. "Now that's a fluffy puppy,", tom chuckles "but he's still very young, isn't he?". "Yes he is, he will get a LOT bigger.", you smile and close your jacket. It's already getting colder outside and the wind is getting stronger.

You two start walking. You can see that Loki is having a lot of fun being around bobby. You and Tom start talking a little bit and watching your dogs have fun.

Then you tell the news about Nora and her engagement. "That sounds great. Tell her my congrats!" "Yes I'll do that.", you look up to him and smile. "I'm really happy for her, they're such a great couple. And of course they want to move in together now. So I think i have to search someting new, because it's also her appartment we're currently living in." you laugh slightly, but it's not really convincing.

"As I said, I'll stay with her and her Cousin for the next two weeks, but after that I should start searching for something new. Of course she wont kick me out immediately, but they want to marry quickly and I've been putting this off long enough. I mean moving somewhere else and finally finding a goodJob."

You keep walking, both in thoughts. You watch the leafs falling to the ground and covering the grass. Still in thoughts you say: "You know, I like New York. It would be nice if I could just stay here.", you sigh "It's like a break from everyday life, and I also met you." You stop and you turn to him. A little insecure, looking at your boots, which are also dark green.

Then Toms clears his throat and says: "Um Y/N, I mean if you want to stay in New York, you could stay with me at the hotel for a while. I mean just if you want to. There is a second bedroom of course. And Loki's welcome too, of course."

WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!  Your jaw dropped a little and you look up, staring at him. Directly in his beautiful eyes. Did he just blush?  You get a tingling feeling in your stomach and try to sort out your thoughts.

"uohh-", that's all you are able to say right now. He laughs, but it seems like he's a little shy. You blink twice and try to get your self together. "Wow, thats very...kind. I- I mean... Yeah of course! That would be awesome.", you're a little out of breath and your heart is beating very fast.

"Great! I would be delighted. I'm happy if I can help out."
