Bam!
The screaming died instantly and her body went limp.
"Shit." I gritted at Baybi's faint body.
I glanced at my arm where the bullet grazed and cursed under my breath.
"You missed?" Reggie's voice squeaked with so much incredulity.
My head shot up at his voice and I swiftly pulled out my gun and aimed it into the darkness.
"Don't. Move." I uttered walking towards the dark.
The area was deadly quiet except for the soft plinks of rainfall dropping on the ground.
"'ey man, i–i swear I didn't mean to shoot ye. I–it slipped." Crane's voice quivered.
I was so close I could now see the outline of their faces. Reggie's eyes were wide with fear. Good, because he needed to be.
"Ye 'ear man, please don't kill us." Crane pleaded again.
I stared at his long face, I could almost feel his own fear in my body. Too bad I didn't. I couldn't.
"You know what I do to people?" I said, my voice oddly calm as I cocked the gun to his companion's face.
He nodded erratically.
"Please don't kill us, I 'eard man, I 'eard what you do to people. Please don't kill us." Crane begged.
A twisted smile played on my lips and it only made him more terrified.
"I won't kill the both of you." I said, lowering my gun.
His shoulders sagged down followed by a breath of relief. He opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.
"Only one." I decided and my eyes landed on Reggie.
His feet were fast. He pushed me aside, or at least he tried to. He managed to budge past me and take off at the speed of light. But he wasn't fast enough.
I cocked my gun and pulled the trigger. He dropped dead on the spot.
"'oly shit man! Ye killed 'im!" Crane panicked.
My gaze shifted to him and my jaw ticked.
"It's what I do." I told him and pulled the trigger again. I shot his foot.
"Argh!" He yelled repetitively. "Ye said one of us!"
"I know." I answered nonchalantly.
With that I stalked back to where Baybi was lying unconscious. I picked her up, forgetting about the groceries and took her to my car.
I inhaled her sweet scent of coconuts and lemon deeply before laying her down in the back seat.
I eyed the spot where Crane was still drowning in his pain before slipping into my car. After contemplating on taking her to her place for a minute I gritted my teeth, slammed my door shut and headed straight to the mansion.
How could she have went grocery shopping alone. Xander mentioned that she had a friend, where was she?
With a thoughtful sigh I parked my car in front of the entrance and took Baybi out. Right then the doors flew open and Xander rushed out.
"Chris! Thank fuck Chris. Where have– whoa!" His eyes widen at the sight in front of him before he smirked. "Damn, she's hot!"
I gave him a pointed look and he swallowed.
