I must've looked either very constipated or like I was going to faint because Payne immediately grabbed my wrist to prevent me from falling butt first on the floor.
"Wuh-wuh-what doing here are you?" I jumbled raising an accusing finger at him.
Great, I was so flustered I couldn't talk right.
His expressionless face scanned my body making me shift my weight to one leg.
His brown-black hair was ruffled in a go-eat-poop kinda way. The stud on his right ear making itself noticed as it glitsened under the warm sun. His black turtle neck was literally a second skin, it clung so tight I could outline his man nippies if I had to. Perfect grey eyes fixed on my disoriented figure.
I had even forgotten that he was holding me until he stepped inside my apartment, dragging me with him.
My face was probably leaking red right now, my mind was so jumbled I couldn't even make a straight sentence in my head. He halted when he saw my living room, his eyes scanned the space just like Lace did before dragging me all the way to the kitchen. He let go of my hand making me pout and gasp at the same time because he placed his hands at the sides of my waist and picked me up effortlessly and landed my fat butt on the small island. Even so he was an inch or two taller than me.
At this rate my breathing wasn't normal. It came out in short inhales and harsh exhales. I was going to have some sort of cardiac arrest.
"Hey, hey, Baybi. I need you to calm down." His deep husky voice cut through the air. If anything, it made me feel more panicky.
Payne was in my apartment, in my kitchen, holding me by the sides of my waist.
"Calm down baby." He cooed.
Why is he telling me to calm down? I am as calm as I can be right now. I was almost sure that there might be bloody crescents on my palm from how my nails were digging into the skin of my palm.
However, I literally stilled when his thumbs made contact with the bare skin on my waist and started rubbing circles there.
"I need you to relax and calm down." He said slowly as if I was panicking. Which I was.
My shoulders slowly sagged down and my breathing was now at a safe rate. Is it safe to say that his hands worked magic?
"That's it, now I need you to relax." He said afterwards.
I stared at him with an expression that just couldn't be . . . expressed! I cannot relax if he is touching me!
I let out an inaudible gasped and my mouth hung wide open when I felt more fingertips on my skin.
He took one more step closer and he was now between my legs. He was so close I could see the freckles on his nose without squinting.
One large, callous hand landed on my cheek, his thumb gliding under my chin before applying pressure making my mouth snap shut.
"You don't know what I want to do to you when your mouth is opened like that." He said and my brows furrowed slightly.
He chuckled slightly, both his hands never leaving where he placed them.
He leant closer and placed his forehead on mine before he spoke again.
This is the day I die.
"I came to ask you one question but now I have two." He said, his hand that was on my cheek shifted to my nape making more tingles and heat spread my body.
I couldn't talk, so I nodded, even that was almost impossible because of how his forehead was pressed to mine.
"First: Why was your bedroom window open?" He asked with one eyebrow raised.
