A Broken Promises

Prologue

I can't help but to laugh bitterly. Seing him with her happily. Anong meron sa babae niya na wala ako? I did everything I can, Isn't that enough? I'm waiting myself to be tired with him. But years past, nothing change. I still love him.

"Mommy! Why are you crying? Did Daddy make you cry again?"

I wiped my tears and look at my son. Nakangiti siya kahit na malungkot ang kislap ng mga mata. He's still a baby, bakit hinayaan siyang mamulat sa masakit na kasalukuyan?

"No, baby. I'm just happy because you're my son. Aren't you happy? It's your birthday, baby." Umiling siya at tumingin sa tiningnan ko kanina.

My heart hurts. He's watching his daddy with someone else. Why we can't be happy? It was just a scene, a scene that can break my, and my son's heart into pieces. Akala ko'y magiging madali ang lahat kapag nagka-anak kami. But It seems I'm wrong.

Nang dahil sa akin napagdadaanan ng anak ko ang lahat ng ito. Am I a bad Mom?

"He's happy with someone else. Mayroon pa silang anak na nasusunod lahat ng gusto. What about me? I'm his son too! I'm hurt, mommy. I felt like I just made to feel this pain."

I hugged my son's tight. He cried louder at my neck. Parang naninikip ang puso ko dahil sa pag iyak niya. Bakit mapait ang kapalaran? He just want to feel the attention of his father. Hindi ang maramdaman ang sakit kapag nire-reject siya ng kaniyang ama.

"Hush... Everything will be okay. Don't cry, baby. It's your birthday." Pag-aalo ko rito.

"How can I be happy when Daddy's breaking my heart? How can I be happy when Daddy's with someone else? How can I be happy when Daddy's always rejecting me?"

Tumulong muli ang luha ko dahil sa hinanakit niya sa kaniyang ama. I carried him to my car and kiss his forehead. I don't want to stay this place any longer. It will be nightmare to my son.
