"Y/n!" I hear my mother call from downstairs. I groan not wanting to move from my tiny, but comfortable bed. I neatly tuck in the corners of my bed sheet, taking my time competing the task as it will be the last time I do this for months.

"Y/n!" my mother calls again.

"I'm up!" I yell. The sounds of the cabinets open and close, hints that she's making breakfast. The knot in my stomach grows while walking down the stairs, by the time I reach the end of the stairs, its nerve wracking. I spent the last 3 years nervously waiting for my time at college to come. Most of my weekends were spent studying and preparing for this time to come while other students are out getting drunk, wasting there time and ruining their futures. The day my letter came for WSU I was pretty thrilled, my mother cried for what felt like days, and I have to admit I was pretty happy with myself. All my hard work really did something.

my mother calls my name again as I walk into the kitchen. I know she is worried for the day I arrive at college but I have had this day planned for ages. My boyfriend James will be here soon to ride with me and my mother. He is one year older than me, and goes to WSU as well. Which was great meaning that we would be in college together.

James is sitting at the table across from my mother, dressed in his usual suit and tie. His icy blonde hair is combed to perfection.

"Hey freshly new college girl," his smile is bright, standing to pull me into a tight hug.

"Hey" I give an equally as bright smile back and pull my dirty blonde hair into a low ponytail once he lets go of me.

"Hun, we can wait a few minutes while you fix your hair" my mother says with disgust and running her disapproving eyes over me.

I make my way to the mirror in the living room and nod, she's right. my hair needs to look amazing for today, and of course she didn't hesitate to remind me. She never does.

"I'll put your bags in the car for you" James offers and picks up his keys from the table. With a quick kiss on the check he leaves the room.

The knot in my stomach grows as I walk to the car. I have no idea what college is going to be like, will I make friends?

Please tell me if this is horrible. Just a reminder that I suck at writing and if some things sound like how they do with Tessa and Noah that's the whole point.
