(Season one, episode one)
Picking up her ID at the front desk of Seattle Grace Hospital, and walking toward the desired area that a nurse pointed out, Claire Giron was emotionally preparing for her first day as an intern at the age of nineteen which is about seven years younger than most
. Skipping five years of school, graduating high school at thirteen, finishing college at fifteen and graduating med school at nineteen, most people would bully her for it but Claire wouldn't listen, she knew what she wanted to do and was smart enough to do it and possibly the added bonus of her family's support she managed to reach her goal.
Moving slowly towards her class of interns, the french girl made sure to stay in the back to make sure that she doesn't have to deal with anyone at the moment. Making their way to the OR, Claire became increasingly nervous, this was her first day and hopefully a good one too.
Now standing in front of the OR, the chief of surgery started making his speech as someone else entered the area.
"A month ago you were in med school being taught by doctors, today you are the doctors." Richard Webber, the chief of surgery said as he opened the door to the OR and let everyone walk in. "The seven years you will spend here as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. You will be pushed to the breaking point. Look around you, say hello to your competition." To that everyone started looking at each other, most eyes landing on the nineteen year old girl then looking away trying to contain their laugh. Some people might ask why they're almost laughing but not Claire, she knows that they're doing that because a 'child' or 'fetus' is in the room and that she doesn't care. "Eight of you will switch to an easier specialty, five of you will crack under the pressure, two of you will be asked to leave. This is your starting line, this is your arena. How well you play, that's up to you."

Putting on her new scrubs and lab coat, Claire felt both happy and proud with herself that she got here at such a young age. Although most people already started picking on her.
"Hey, kiddo, this isn't the place to play dress up." A tall man said laughing at himself while most of the rest of the room started laughing as well.
"Ha, ha, ha. Very funny." She shot back at the man. As she started to put her hair up into a ponytail so that it stays out of her face.
"Okay, Martin, Robinson, Bond. Hawkins." A man's voice came from the door.
"Only seven women out of twenty-one" Said a female voice that came from her right.
"Yeah, I hear one of them's a model. Seriously, that's gonna help with the respect thing?" Said an asian woman also further to her right.
You're Cristina, right?" The dirty blonde asked
" Patton, Monroe... " The male voice came again, sounding through the locker room.
"Which resident are you assigned to? I got Bailey." Asked the dark haired girl, putting her hair up.
"The, Nazi? Me too." Said the other while standing up.
