Zayn's POV:

People find comfort in various things. For example, they might find comfort in their lover's arms, or by eating something, reading something or just sleeping or crying it off. But Louis, Louis has a weird comfort place. When he is worried sick or panicking, he will come to my chamber and wrap himself with my curtain and sit there on the floor, sulking silently.

And now, he is doing exactly that. All I can see is his face and it shocks me when he looks so small, like a child scared of thunder storms. I think of times when he spent time trying to climb the curtains for fun (Once ended up plummeting to the floor and bringing the whole chain of curtains along with him and complained about sore bum for next two days) (Only to climb again once the curtains were fixed, that boy). But now, I don't know how to console him.

All we know is, there's been an attack, and twelve murders. Five soldiers of my army and seven civilians. Nothing else. We won't get more information until afternoon and I don't know if mum will let us sneak out.

"Do you think the boys are one of them?" Louis voices it out at last and I look at him sharply.

"Don't even say that, Louis" I scold "They are still alive, I'm pretty sure"

He toys with the curtain for a bit and sighs "Can we sneak out now?"

"Don't know if mum would appreciate that" I shake my head "And there are meetings for me to be present and if your dad doesn't find you with me, he is going to get suspicious"

He groans, hitting his head back at the wall and groans again. "I want to make sure they are okay"

I sigh before standing up from my bed and walking over to him. He lets me inside his cocoon of curtains and snuggles into me. And I feel myself smile, because I know he doesn't let everyone inside his private comfort.

"They must be okay" I say, squeezing around his shoulders. "Stop worrying"

It's only after breakfast do we get the news that Benjamin did capture a men belonging to the Bindaris. It has both me and Louis bolting up in our seats, eyes wide with disbelief. So Benjamin did catch one, or maybe just brought one with him through some deal.

"You both are not allowed to the cells" my mum warns us before I and Louis can run off to it "It's dangerous"

"How is it dangerous?" Louis says "He must be chained up and locked right?"

"Yes, but it's still dangerous" my aunt says and Waliyah nods along. I and Louis look at each other and I raise my eyebrows, silently pondering if he has got any ideas. He gives me a thumbs up with a smirk.

----

"Just few drops slipped into their beverages and they were out" he whispers to me, both of us literally tip-to-ing down the dark, sculpted stairs. I have been here only a few times and they weren't pleasant experiences. It's too dark and dirty for my liking.

"Where did you even get it?"

"My mum uses it when she can't sleep" Louis whispers "So, no biggy in getting it out"

"How long until they wake up?" I question and he raises a finger to signal me the answer.

I walk along the pathway, straightening my posture when I see guards lined up along the cells. They salute at me when I walk by and clearly, they weren't warned that we are not allowed in here.

"The newly captured one, where is he?" I question one of the guards and he leads me the way the last and most secure cell of all of them. Upon my nod, the guards securing around it leave for few minutes. There's only a single ray of sunlight escaping through the small window and it's not enough.
