WHERE THE VOICE TAKES YOU (DEE'S POV?)

I tried to find out what the voice was. It made me feel weak, as if I was being erased from existence. It kept getting stronger and stronger until...

I...woke...up? Instead of in the arms of Ava, I was in what looked like a nurse's office in a school. I was laying on 1 of the 4 chairs in the room, processing what was going on. I attempt to lift my upper body up, but I ended up plopping right back onto the chair. Suddenly, this woman walks out of a small room within the room I'm in. She has a small bag of gummies in her right hand. She stops right in front of my feet, handing me the small bag to eat. I gently take the bag.

"This should raise your blood sugar up some more." The nurse tells me. I open the bag slightly and grab all the gummies from the bag, putting them in my hand. I place all the gummies into my mouth and eat them all. "Well Dee, you're lucky I got to the classroom in time! Any longer, and you probably wouldn't have lived."

I suddenly remember what happened. I was having a low blood sugar in my last class for the day. It must've dropped too far the second I closed my eyes. I...I really could've died dream or reality. That's scary. "I honestly wasn't expecting it." I tell her, "It all happened so fast."

"Well, you're better now, thankfully." She informs me, "Now the bell is about to-"

The bell rings.

"Oh!" The nurse sighs, "You should be fine enough to head back home. See you tomorrow, so we can talk about how to prevent that from happening again." I nod my head in agreement, as I make my way towards the exit with my heavy book bag and newly gained energy.

I take a step out of the room, when I hear a voice, that I know all too well.

"HEY DEE!" My best friend calls on me, which of course meant I was gonna talk to her.

"HEY AVA!" I scream to her in joy, thought it looked like she had a different emotion.

"What happened? Are you okay? Is it true? Are these too many questions?" She asks me with this look of genuine fear on her face.

"I'm fine." I reassure her. I begin to tell her what really had happened, and since we had to get to our buses, I tell her, that I'll tell her more tomorrow, which makes her smile a bright, and adorable smile. She nods her head, and we both go our separate ways. While on the bus, I start thinking to myself, (Yep, she is just like in that dream. That's very strange, but it's probably for the best, if I try not to dwell on that for too long.)

TIMESKIP TO VALENTINE'S DAY OF PRESENT YEAR

"Ok Dee, you can do this!" I tell myself, seemingly as a way of pumping myself up for something big, as I continue to shiver throughout my whole body, "You've been planning this for a month now! You're brave, Type 1 or no Type 1!" I finally calm down and take a deep breath. "Ok! Here goes nothing!"

I move my hand over to my phone, as the camera pans out to me on my bed. I was texting Ava saying, "Happy Valentine's Day! I have something to give to you," while I'm shaking intensely, as if I was freezing. I attached a image, which I made especially for her asking one thing:

Will you be my girlfriend?

"Awww!" She replies, which made me shake nervously even more, "That's so sweet! I'm gonna watch it right now." When I saw this, I felt relieved from knowing I'll have some time to calm down, until I realized...she's going to watch it right now.

Luckily, I was able to respond with an OK and calm myself down as she was watching the video, which was a proving effective, up until she was done.

"I LOVE IT!" She responds, "And the answer is yes 😊."

I looked at the notification on my phone, and immediately saw her say yes. I start jumping up and down in my bed. "YAY!" We both scream from the other sides of our phones, though I was the only to send it in the chat.

"Congratulations, Dee!" A voice says to me, causing me to flinch and look around to see who it was. I look down, and I realize who it was. "It's like nothing's changed!" The voice said again. It was none other than...Type 1.

"WAIT WHA-" I yelled, knowing that there was more to him that meets the eye.
