I expected Mike to leave as soon as I told him to. Pero nanatili sya sa base for two days at tsaka lang umalis sa huling araw. Nasabi ni August sakin na nasa loob lang halos ito ng kwarto nya sa base ng mga araw na iyon at madalang na lumalabas.

Sa huling araw ay umalis nga ito at bumalik gabi na, limang oras bago kami magtungo sa Afghanistan. Alam kong alam nya ang halaga ng misyong ito.

Sa totoo lang, mahirap makita sa akin na ganito sya lalo na at para ko na silang mga batang kapatid nila Zenon. Mike is rather complicated than Zenon and August.

And so was Hestia.

Hestia was wounded and Mike was calloused.

But I guess, they found something that night -- nasabi sa akin ni August na nasa tabi ni Hestia ang isang radyo at naka derekta ito sa channel ni Mike. I bet, they did talk, amidst how difficult it was.

"SOLDIERS!" pagtawag ko

Sabay sabay silang lumingon sa gawi ko at sumaludo.

"This mission is a take it or leave it. We still have three hours before we depart, leave while you can." saad ko, pero walang umalis.

"If you decided to die with honor then we depart."

Alam kong di sigurado na buo kaming babalik, may tsansa mang buo kaming babalik, pero maaring marami ang sugatan.

"SOLDIERS!"

"NO MAN SHALL BE LEFT BEHIND!" sigaw nilang lahat

This is why I am always honored to be the commander of the north base, soldiers here are ready to die with honor and to go back home without abandoning a single soldier.

Sumakay kaming lahat sa black hawk copter at military chopers, may isang batallion na naiwan sa base para salubungin kami pagbalik, I left the second commanding officer to lead them, I trust him, Gregor.

Habang papunta kami sa Afghanistan ay may kakaiba akong pakiramdam. Para bang may mangyayari paglapag namin doon, pero hindi ko matukoy kung pangamba ba o pag-asa ang nasa loob ko.

Malapit na kami sa arial teritory kaya naman  minabuti naming maglanding sa field sa labas ng Afghanistan border.

"This is Commander Perutch of the Russian Army,  Commander Braun, you in position?"

"Yes, we're entering the teritory."

"So were we... We're on east side, the americans are on the west, Commander Hudges are with them." saad ni Perutch sakin

"Roger that," ani ko at sumenyas sa mga bata ko

Sila Zenon at ang blacck ops ay sa south manggagaling. We plan this with the Russian and American army, this better work.

August "Ace"

Upon our arrival, we enter the land wearing clothes like the civilian people. It's night and we plan to move in the palace and bring down it's roots before the sun rises.

Sumenyas sa akin si Mike na lalakad na kami, lima kami, he move in the center habang kasama ko si Aspin - we took left. Si Fidel at Carlo naman sa kanan.
