Seb and Mollie arrived back at the hotel Sunday night after finishing up at the circuit. They were in two completely different moods.
Mollie was still on a high after her victory the previous day. Sophia and Lily had both failed to finish, so she'd extended her championship lead.
Seb was in a foul mood as he'd only managed to finish twelfth due to a puncture nine laps from the end.
He dumped his rucksack on the floor and collapsed onto the bed.
"Luca texted. He wants to know if we want to meet up at a club?"
"No thanks. I'm not in the mood."
"Maybe it would help you relax a little. I know it was a shit outcome but I'm sure next week will be better. Come on, cheer up."
He looked away from her.
"I said no Mollie. I don't think you should be in clubs either. What if you're tempted to drink again?"
Mollie turned and walked into the bathroom.
"I can't believe you just said that. How about you have a little faith in me? I'm in a much better place mentally now. You know that. I'm not going to jeopardise all the hard work I've put into getting better."
"I'm sorry Mols. I'm just not in the mood for socialising."
"No need to take it out on me." She walked out of the bathroom and began rummaging through her case.
"What are you doing?"
"Getting changed. You might not want to go out but I do. Luca got a podium and I want to celebrate with him. Don't worry. Soft drinks only. I can have fun without alcohol."
"Mollie, don't go. Stay here. I can make it worth your while," he said, reaching out and running his hand up the inside of her thigh. She pushed his hand off.
"Seb, I have friends you know. I love you, you know that but I'm not giving everything up because you ask me to."
"You make it sound like I always do that. When do I ever do that?"
"Oh for fuck's sake. There's no talking to you when you're in that his mood."
"You don't really talk to me much anyway, do you Mollie?"
"What do you mean by that?" she snapped, turning around to glare at him. She undid her jeans and slid them off.
"Nothing," he sighed.
"You obviously do or you wouldn't have said it," Mollie replied, pulling a short denim skirt on.
"Ok, you want to know? Next season. Formula E. Is it a possibility? Everyone's saying it. Yet you haven't said a word. Have you spoken about it to Matthew Thorne?"
Mollie changed her vest top for a strapless blue top. She started brushing her hair.
"Seb, I don't know for sure what I'm doing yet. When I know, I will tell you. Chill ."
"You don't know for sure. So you have an idea? Don't you think I deserve to know if my girlfriend is gonna be leaving to go to another series ? One where I'll hardly get to see her."
"Seb, you're overreacting. I'm open to any offer. I have to be. I don't want to end up out of a seat."
"I just feel there's something you're not telling me."
"Stop being paranoid." She walked over to the bed and kissed him. "I love you Vettel, even if you're a moody git." He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her to him, burying his face in her stomach.
