-------------------------------------

It felt so familiar, the bright light engulfing the DeLorean and appearing in a different timeline. It's only been a week, and you've travelled through time more than you've seen your own mother.

"Did we make it?" Marty asked from beside you.

You were all silent for a moment.

"Are we back?" This time, you were the one to ask.

It was extremely silent. There were no other cars in the sky so you must've made it back, right?

... Right?

You felt your heart go still. Were you home?

Just then, an aeroplane flew overhead, causing all three of you to scream.

You hugged Jennifer tighter, calming your racing heart.

Once the aeroplane was out of sight, everyone relaxed.

The Doc put his hands down and spoke up.

"We're back"

After a while, the car was descending into a familiar street, in front of a nice blue house. Something about it made you uneasy.

Jennifer's, you remembered from when you dropped off Marty. Although, that wasn't what felt wrong about this.

It was still too quiet.

You didn't trust any of it.

Doc pulled up into the driveway and you glanced at the small house, remembering the countless times you drove by to pick Marty up a couple of consecutive Sundays.

God, you hated having to wake up so early just to keep him from getting in trouble with both his and Jennifer's parents for sleeping over.

The Doc hopped out and pointed at the porch. "Let's put her in the swing!" He ordered.

You and Marty carefully got out and picked up Jennifer's still unconscious body, quickly moving her up the steps.

"Then I'll take you back to Marty's home. You're okay with that, Y/N?" Doc asked as you lugged Jennifer's head over to the swing.

Marty, who was holding her feet, answered for you. "Yeah, yeah."

"What about the whole time travelling thing?" You asked, carefully setting her head down on some pillows that lined the porch swing.

"When she awakens here in her own house and it's dark, you should be able to convince her that it was all a dream." Doc answered, coming to stand beside you and Marty.

"Wait a minute. We're just gonna leave her here on the porch?" Marty asked, concerned.

You glanced at Marty before shaking your head at the Doc.

You didn't want to just leave Jennifer outside of her house.

"The disorientation will help convince her that it was all a dream," Doc said.

You mumbled under your breath,"That didn't really answer the question... How long do you think she's gonna be out?" You took your jacket off and placed it on top of Jennifer to keep her from getting cold.

"I'm not quite sure. She received quite a shock. Could be for a few minutes. Most probably, a couple of hours. You better bring her some smelling salts in the morning."
