Also, this entire chapter is just Marty and Y/N fighting... But also some fluff to make up for it (If you squint).

A little OOC, though... I warned you.

Major TW: Y/N has a panic attack later on. (Totally not based on real events when a certain almost adult had a panic attack in the back of a car as it drove around the side of a mountain... Definitely not based on that...)

"Damn this traffic!" Doc cursed, smacking the wheel with his hand.

You were sat in between Marty and the Doc, leaning back a little to pet Einstein.

"Jennifer, that is, old Jennifer, usually gets home around now."

"Future Jennifer," you corrected.

"Yes, future Jennifer. I hope we're not too late."

Yo noticed the Doc start to rub his eyes over the silver shades. You were about to say something when Marty turned from peeking out the window.

"What is it? What's the matter, Doc?" He asked.

"For a moment, I thought I saw a taxi in my rear display." He answered.

"It's an open... Sky? Road? Whatever. Obviously, there'd be other vehicles," you shrugged.

"No, I thought it was following us... Weird."

"Ah... Who'd be following us?" You wondered.

"Exactly," The Doc replied before examining the neighbourhood you were approaching.

The three of you sat in silence as the DeLorean descended onto the street, right next to the Hilldale sign.

As the wheels made contact with the cement, Doc popped the door open and climbed out. You moved to the driver's seat while Marty stayed put.

"Alright, Einie, let's find Jennifer."

Your eyes widened upon hearing those words.

Without Einstein, you probably would have to talk to Marty. Something you've been avoiding since the silent argument in the antique shop.

But as Doc shut the door, Marty instantly spoke up, causing you to flinch and lean back in your seat.

"I don't believe it. I live in Hilldale? This is great!" He laughed, impressed.

"Way to go, Mcfly," you grumbled, rolling your eyes.

You both watched as Doc gestured for you to stay inside the car. His finger then pointed at Marty, telling him to change out of his clothes before he and Einie ran off.

"Oh, come on. I wanted to check out my house," Marty complained, shrugging his jacket off and unvelking his shoes.

"Marty, you know the risk of running into your future self," you told him off with a small glare, both unaware of the taxi that had pulled up a few houses over.

"Why don't you go? From what we learned, you're not around anymore..." He trailed off, voice getting softer after realising what he just said.

You felt your breathing get heavy, trying not to snap at him then and there.

Instead, you quickly pushed past his chest to reach for the glove box.

Marty flinched back at your sudden action, watching as you dug through the clutter.
