"never apologise for being a powerful women!"

💅🏻

when the story of sarah everard came in view to the public. the met police sent out a statement stating that women's should not go out past dark.

the problem with this that women aren't the issue, men are! so why punish women for problems created by men.

then a member of the house, jenny jones, proposed a bill that set a curfew for men so they couldn't go out past 6pm. what the men argued back with was, "not all men" completely missing the important point she was trying to make.

what's funny is, they didn't say anything when the police tried to keep us at home after dark. but did start shouting and arguing about men having a curfew when they are the problem.

jenny jones point was not to change women to fit the needs of men.

don't change women, educate men.

educate your children, your siblings, your family, your friends.

don't tell women to change and be safe. that's a form of victim blaming.

and yes not all men, but do you objectify women?

not all men, but have you ever begged someone for nudes?

not all men, but do you assume someone is lying when they've told you they've been sexually assaulted?

not all men, but i started looking behind every second making sure no one was following me, walking faster almost running, holding my keys tighter in my hands everyday when going back home from school and vice versa. I was 10.

not all men, but i was catcalled and called words like "slut" "whore" when i wore shorts and a crop top in the summer and ignored the cat callers. i was 11.

not all men, but when the women said they didn't want to, when they screamed "stop" "no" "don't" cried and begged, struggled and fought, they were ignored. only their bodies were cared about instead of their voices and the tears streaming down their face.

not all men, but women are even catcalled when wearing leggings and a hoodie. i was when i was 13.

not all men, but if a women rejects a man, they get angry rather than respecting their wishes.

not all men, but we get stared at and get pics taken off us.

not all men, but you see your sister talking to a guy and your chest is tight.

not all men, but you see your daughter with a man and your chest is tight.

not all men, but you teach us to stay away from them.

not all men, but "why did you go to his house?" "who is he to you?" "are you dating him?" "did he do anything to you?" is an anthem!

not all men,

but EVERY SINGLE WOMEN!

💅🏻

rip to all the brave women who passed away due to the abuse they suffered, i hope they're in a better place now. ❤️

part 4 will be out tomorrow :)
