Dear God,
If today I lose hope
Show me how to keep it
Teach me how to love with an unbroken heart
Love me even with all my imperfections
With every doubt, bring me courage
With every thought, bring me inspiration
And with every feeling, bring me hope.
If today I lose my way,
Push me out of the boat, so that I can walk on water
So that my eyes will train on you, to keep me afloat
So that when you hold out your hand to take, I can know that you love me
And that you love me forever and ever.
Even when my eyes are blind and cannot see
You help me find my way.
If today I want my dreams,
Let me see how they can make a difference
Show me what I need to find, need to seek
How to grow in my faith and how to grow as a person
How to bring others out of darkness and come into light with you
And teach me that through my faith I can learn your plan
Because your plans are better than my dreams.
