TWs: Mild swearing, small fight

"I'm done!' Sapnap shouts throwing his hands up.

"What do you mean you're done?" Quackity questions, concern in his voice.

"He won't let me sing a song!" Sapnap rants, pointing angrily toward Karl, who looks away.

"Is it over?" Quackity asks nervously.

"I'm done! Me and Karl, we're finished, we're through!" Sapnap yells.

"Sapnap, would you go as far as to say the wedding is over?" Quackity asks him, his eyes begging to dull.

"You know, unless Karl can really change his act and prove it to me, the wedding's off," Sapnap spits, looking at Quackity.

"Okay," Karl says shakily from the corner, trying to catch Sapnap's gaze. Instead, the man in question stomps out of the room, leaving Karl and Quackity alone in silence.

Sapnap yawns as he slowly wakes up, his eyes fluttering open to reveal the blank TV screen in front of him. He carefully stretches, trying not to disturb his sleeping fiancé, who is curled up next to him, snoring softly. His back cracks as he stretches, reminding him of the uncomfortable couch he had spent the night on. Glancing around the room he notices the recliner where Quackity had sat the night before abandoned. Sapnap sighed softly, disappointed that Quackity did not decide to stay the night.

Sapnap pulls Karl closer as he reminisces on the past night. He wishes he would have given up his pride and pulled Quackity onto the couch with the pair. He couldn't help himself from thinking about past movie nights, where the three would cuddle together on the couch, munching on popcorn and sipping hot chocolate. He feels a phantom warmth crawl up the exposed side of his body, remembering having two bodies at his side to warm up with his abnormal body heat.

Before he can stop himself, he begins to slip into question the what-ifs. What if Quackity had never run away? What if he and Karl had searched for him harder before leaving El Rapids themselves? What if he had been a better fiancé, maybe none of this would have happened?

Silent tears begin to spill down his face as he berates himself for everything, for not trying hard enough, for accepting the situation instead of trying harder to fix it, for not being enough to keep Quackity around. As if he sensed Sapnap's distress, Karl stirs awake, a displeased look crossing his features as he sees the tears fall down Sapnap's face. Sleepily, he wipes the tears from Sapnap's face, pulling him closer to his chest as he sighs contently.

Sapnap begins to calm down as he feels Karl's steady heartbeat thump against his chest. Even though he messed up with Quackity, at least he can say he did something right with Karl. While he couldn't keep his memory from deteriorating, no matter how desperately he had tried, he was still able to give him the love and support he needed. And in return, Karl stayed, giving him the company he was desperately missing from losing Quackity.

A knock sounds through the mushroom house, pulling Sapnap off the couch, which earns a whine from his tired fiancé. Sapnap opens the door to find Quackity, who was cleaned up and ready to go for the day. Sapnap looked a mess in comparison, still dressed in his pajamas with his hair sticking up. Although Sapnap no doubt looks tired, he can't help but notice the bags under Quackity's eyes, queueing Sapnap into his own exhaustion.

Before Sapnap could question Quackity about this, a laugh sounds from the older. "Were you still asleep? If not, that's quite the hairstyle you're trying out today," Quackity chuckles as he looks at the strands of hair falling into Sapnap's face. Sapnap shoots him a look before leading him into the house. Quackity sits at the kitchen table, waiting for the other two to get ready for the day.
