"We have reason to be proud of yesterday's victories." Kaldur started. I held Dick's hand tighter. "But one thing has not changed."
"Somehow the bad guys are still getting inside intel about us." Robin picked up.
"Yeah, but at least we know none of us are them mole." Wally said confidently. We all walked into the main part of the Cave.
"That's correct." Batman said from his station at the holo-computer. A high pitched buzz started. I looked around for the source. Finding none, I shifted my attention back to Batman. "--Red Arrow."
"What?" I asked. There was a chorus of disbelieving comments and shocked whispers from the rest of the Team. Batman explained that Roy was another Cadmus clone and that he was being a jerk at the Hall because his primary programming was to get into the Justice League. That he was angry about any setbacks. He had tried to betray the League to Vandal Savage, but Batman had already figured out that Roy was a clone and was prepared.
I stared in shock at the pictures of Roy on the screen. He was an insufferably childish idiot, yes, but betraying the League and the Team? Red Tornado said that Roy was now a fugitive and that the League would find him. The real Roy wasn't at Cadmus. Batman said that we needed to face the possibility that the real Roy Harper was dead. Everyone looked to the ground. Zatanna and I gave our support to Dick and I saw Artemis going to do the same for Wally, but stopped. I sighed. The probability of Roy's death hit me harder than I was expecting it to.
"I'm needed on the Watchtower. Tornado, stay with the kids." Batman ordered Red Tornado. I narrowed my eyes and stood next to Kaldur.
*Clone or no clone, Red Arrow was one of us. We will go after him.* He said determinedly. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw RT holding something and starting for Kaldur's neck. I spun around and slapped whatever it was out of the androids hand and slipped into a defensive position. When Tornado didn't move, I moved after whatever was in his hand.
*Guys. He had a Starotech biochip in his hand.* I informed them.
"I'm sensing a low-level mystic force at play. I don't know if it caused his shutdown, but maybe it's related?" Zatanna reasoned. I shook my head.
*Something's off. Is this mystic force kind of a high pitched buzz?* I asked Zatanna. She nodded. * I was getting the same thing off Batman and when we first brought the Staro chips in, there was some kind of chaos magic infused in it. The chips have something to do with this.* I stated.
Aqualad split us up into two teams. One to figure out RT and one to find Roy. Zatanna had the brilliant idea to download Tornado's consciousness into another robot he built for himself. We were about halfway done when the Zeta Tube went off. Black Canary stepped through. I couldn't focus through the stupid buzz. I yelped as Tornado suddenly sat up.
"Team, get out of the Cave, NOW!" He ordered. BC used her Canary Cry on us. I flew backwards into a wall. Rob slapped a gas bomb on her. I formed a bubble to trap the gas.
"Rocket!" I shouted. She used her power to make a shield around mine so I could drop it. I sat down heavily on the floor as Canary fell unconscious.
"Black Canary attacked us?" Zatanna asked, confused. I stared at the unconscious hero.
"Yup." I confirmed. We abandoned the Cave and hopped into the Super Cycle. We heard the Zeta Tube announcing other arrivals and high-tailed it out of there.

We met up with the other team and compared notes. The entire League was under the mental domination of Vandal Savage. We managed to free BC, and the other team managed to find Roy and confirm that he was the mole. We also managed to find some big brained people to reverse engineer the Starotech chips. We had a plan and were on our way to the Watchtower to free the League and stop Vandal Savage.
We sent Roy, Canary, and Tornado back to the Watchtower via the Zeta Tubes to try to trick Savage, while the rest of us snuck into the Leagues orbiting HQ. RT bypassed the security as soon as he entered, so Savage didn't know we were here.
*Move out.* Aqualad ordered. I nodded and sped towards the Zeta Tubes. On the way, I encountered Hawkman and Captain Atom. I Curoteched them and moved on. After taking out Plastic Man, I moved to the outer hallways.
"Robin, look out!" I shouted as a punch from Batman almost connected. I sprinted forward and flipped over the Dark Knight. I unclipped my extendable staff from my utility belt and prepared to get my butt whooped. Superboy crashed through a few floors. I looked up and shoved Batman into the crash zone and watched as Superboy slammed into him and sent him through the floor.
NOBODY POV
Superman flew down from the floor above and grabbed Ree by her hair. The hero struggled before releasing a ring of energy, successfully knocking the Kryptonian back.
"Robin!" The ravenette shouted. Mentioned hero looked over and tossed her a black box. Before she could use it, she was thrown to the side by Batman. Superboy launched Robin into Batman, Robin then Curoteched him. Ree got up and snatched the box from the ground and sprinted over to the two Kryptonians. Superboy wrapped up Superman and held him still. The Boy in blue flew backwards and slammed the teen into a wall. Ree ran forward and opened the box, revealing a crystal of Kryptonite. Both Kryptonians fell to the floor. Ree closed the box as Superman's unconscious body slammed into the floor. Superboy groaned in pain.
"Kryptonite hurts." The teen complained. Ree laughed.
"That's why Batman keeps it locked away. Kinda." She said as she looked over the two unconscious heroes. Everyone met back in the monitor room as it struck midnight on New Year's. She smiled as Wally picked up Artemis and kissed her.
"You owe me two milkshakes, Boy Blunder." Ree teased her boyfriend. Robin groaned and rolled his eyes.
"Fine." He grumbled. Everyone had a good time. Until Ree sensed something. She held her head.
"Guys, something's very wrong." She said. Everyone got into a defensive stance. Zatanna held her head too.
"I feel it too. Something's coming." Zatanna warned. Even with the warning, nobody was ready for what came next.
A portal opened right behind Ree and the Joker stepped out. He slapped an inhibitor collar on the demon's daughter and wrapped an arm around her, forcing her back to his chest. She yelped, but the clown grabbed a cloth out of his pocket and held it over her mouth and nose. Her eyes widened, but soon closed as the gas took effect. Robin ran at him, but something made him bounce back.
"Don't even try, Boy Blunder. I have a friend that is much more powerful than any of your little tricks." Joker taunted. The Team tried everything to get past the barrier, but nothing worked. The League rushed in.
"Put her down, Joker." Batman ordered. The Clown Prince of Crime laughed maniacally.
"I think not, Batsy. I think I'll take this little girl and introduce her to a friend." Joker mused. "Ta ta, Bats!" The clown laughed as the portal closed in and swallowed them whole. The League stared in shock at the place the girl was seen last.
She was gone.
