"You are watching live coverage of the Justice League's induction of its five newest members. Looks like the entire League has shown up to welcome the new blood. Everyone from Batman to Captain Marvel." Cat Grant reported. Everyone was standing or sitting inside the Hall of Justice as the ceremony went on outside. I smiled and leaned my head on Dick's shoulder.

"I'm glad they didn't kick Billy out." Wally commented as he bit into his apple. "And I love the fact that there's a ten year old on the League."

"There is?!" Our newest member Raquel, or Rocket, asked. Dick elbowed Wally.

"Ow." Wally complained.

"Way to go, Kid idiot." I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, she's on the Team now, right?" Wally defended as he took another bite of his snack. I sighed and turned back to watch Dr. Fate, Plastic Man, The Atom, Icon, and Red Arrow. I snickered as Cat Grant announced Roy.

"Still could've picked a better name before it became permanent." I lamented as Wally, Kaldur, and Dick congratulated him. A beeping sound interrupted my thoughts. I leaned over to get a look at Dick's holo-computer. Apparently Dick had picked up on a jet that crashed in the Smoky Mountains. Cheshire and a case that Artemis lost during a mission were aboard the jet. We suited up and flew towards the mountains. I stared out the window of the Bioship. The nightmares and the sense of foreboding holding my thoughts captive. Wally jerked me away from my brooding.

"We had a chance to grab it in New Orleans, but someone screwed up." He said pointedly. Artemis gave him a nasty glare.

"Wallace Rudolph West. We are not here to play the blame game. We all make mistakes. Now shut up so we can think." I scolded. He flinched at the usage of his full name and turned to pout in the corner. I sighed at his childish behavior.

I swear I'm their mother sometimes.

"Approaching Cheshire's jet." M'gann announced. She gasped as the wreckage of a passenger jet came into view. My eyes widened. Ouch. "Looks like there were no survivors." The Martian sighed.

We dropped into the snow and scouted around for anything useful. I strayed away from the crash. If there were any survivors, they wouldn't stay near the jet. Especially Cheshire. Crashing jets usually catch people's attention. I yelped as a foot came out of nowhere and ninja kicked me. I face planted in the snow, but when I got up, she was gone.

"Cheshire is here!" I yelled into the comms as I bolted towards the fallen jet. I skidded to a stop and went to inspect a metal pole with a ball on the top.

"What the heck...?" I crouched down, and almost got my face taken off when a green dome appeared. I heard yelling about a bush and decided to check it out.

***

I mentally slapped myself for not finding the stupid metal poles earlier. I probably passed one and didn't even know. I crested a large hill and looked down. Riddler was at the top of a ridge. Mammoth was getting absolutely demolished by Superboy, who was flying for some reason, and the rest were fighting Henchmen. Except Artemis. Artemis was fighting Cheshire.

"Artemis look out!" I shouted. Superboy's rampage had caused an avalanche right above her. I watched as Cheshire tackled the blonde out of the way. I leapt down and side kicked the ninja. I extended my hand to Artemis. She avoided eye contact so I decided not to ask. Her eyes widened and she ran over to the rubble. The case we tried so hard to acquire was within our grasp. I sighed in relief when Zatanna lifted the snowstorm spell. It was getting pretty cold.
