Chapter 6
Open the locks

"Do you understand? You're blackmailing me!" She almost yelled but controlled herself seeing the crowd in the canteen. "No babe, I'm not blackmailing you. I'm love-mailing you. There's a big difference, love." 

Lisa scrunched her facial features in disgust after listening him from the other side. "Oh please! Don't insult the word Love. It's far from what you're asking for. All that you have is lust! Just lust! Love is a very-"

"Yah you! I don't want to hear your lecture okay? Let's end this conversation now. And yeah! I'm coming tonight, be ready." Before she could even utter a word, the call was already disconnected.

Lisa dumbfounded-ly stared at the screen of her mobile. Her mouth still parted in shock. "What did he mean by he is coming tonight? Where is he coming? It can't be my house right?" Lisa was struggling with her thoughts when Rosé approached her.

"Hey! What are you thinking?" Rosé asked as soon as she saw Lisa's tensed face. Lisa silently shook her head but just than an idea popped inside her brain as she looked up at her best friend with her eyes sparkling with hope. "Rosie! Can I come to your house tonight for a sleepover?"

Rosé stared at her blankly before letting out a nervous laugh. "Lisayah! Actually, I came here to tell you something. The thing is, I'm going on a date tonight with Jimin oppa and we might get late so I can't really be in my house. And, I would have surely let you stay, but you know, Mark is currently staying in my house for awhile and I really don't think so you will be comfortable staying with him alone in my house, right?"

Lisa sighed rolling her eyes at the mention of Mark. He is cousin brother of Rosé who's currently a delivery boy. In comparison to his decent job, his character is totally different.

A pervert man who behaves like a bully but not openly. He indirectly teases girls, especially Lisa. She has been having such encounters with him from a long while now.

Living alone for a night with a guy like Mark, will be the last thing Lisa would want to do. But she also has to escape from Jungkook tonight at any cost. She sighed and went away after a little chit chat with Rosé.

When she was talking with Rosé, she realised how much excited she seems to go on a date with Jimin. Lisa was also happy for her but the thing disturbing her was why suddenly Jimin was showing so much interest in Rosé.

Was it because Jungkook told him to keep Rosé away from Lisa so that he can persuade Lisa? Or was he really into Rosé? Lisa was already feeling guilty for Rosé. If Jimin is not serious for Rosé, she wouldn't be able to face her friend.

With a sullen face, Lisa reached the cafe and was working as usual when she thought something and walked towards Mrs Charles. "Uh... Mrs Charles, can I stay here in the cafe tonight? Actually I-"

"Ofcourse you can stay my dear. After all it's all yours." She smiled sarcastically at Lisa who gulped feeling more scared. "Do I look like a fool that I would let you stay in my cafe and the next day you will be ran away from here taking all my savings and stuffs?" Lisa immediately shook her head at her remark and was going to clear herself when she again started talking.

"Now go back to work and don't disturb me!" Mrs Charles glared at Lisa and continued to write down something in her book while Lisa sighed and walked back inside the kitchen.

Late night when she reached her home, the first thing she did was to close all the windows and doors of her house. She took out some old locks and keys from the store room and locked all the doors and windows carefully, as if she didn't wanted even a single fly to enter inside.

After satisfying herself, she prepared some quick ramen and took a bath before having her dinner. While having dinner, she cautiously kept glancing on the doors and windows and even on her phone, but nothing came.

After doing the dishes, she walked upstairs to her room and laid on her bed. It was almost 1.30 AM but she couldn't sleep. Every passing ten minutes, she checked her mobile and continued to glance on the locked doors.

She didn't knew when sleep engulfed her and the next morning she woke up late. She rushed to her college without having her breakfast. When she was taking out her stuff from the locker, she unconsciously glanced here and there, but the one she was looking for wasn't anywhere to be seen.

She was happy as well as confused since last night. She was obviously happy because he didn't come to her house but she was confused thinking why didn't he came to her house when he said he will come? And why he is not anywhere to be seen today?

When she reached her class, she looked around for him but he was nowhere. She saw Rosé was busy in chatting with Jimin and silently took her seat.

Unusually, she wasn't in a mood to study today. She kept glancing in the direction of the door but no one came inside after the teacher started her work.

The day went by pretty casual, as she walked to her work after college and than went home. After doing her daily night routine, she was going to sleep when her phone rang. Her hands trembled when she glanced at the number.

She sighed deeply closing her eyes and picked up the call, only to hear his desperate voice. "Where are you?" His voice sounded very husky and desperate, as if he was in some trouble.

"Where am I supposed to be at this hour? I'm in my home obviously." She tried to make herself sound confident and casual, so that he won't make out the inner turmoil going inside her. But his next words literally shook her whole existence. Her fingers trembled and her throat moved.

"Open the locks. I'm outside."
