Part 15 # Missed Calls

Dropping Susheela at her home, Pramod comes back to his house. Jay is sitting in the living room & so is Minnie.

"Mom- dad, I'm home..."

"Ohh Pramod, come we will talk about something.."

"(Sits) Yes mom?"

"(J) Today I went to meet Dharampal and to talk about your marriage... he just wants to get you both engaged. I didn't say no, but what do you think?"

"Dad, I actually don't want to take any action just before an important examination... Even I talked to Susheela ji that we will marry after my exams... and what's there to do so hurry? It's only marriage, right?"

"Yes you're right also.. Fine then, I'll tell Dharampal not to arrange anything for now, okay?"

"Yeah sure."

Some days passed. Now it's the first day of examination. Pramod goes to college with full preparation and his exam also goes well. Returning home, he feels very tired so lies on his bed and he doesn't even realise when he sleeps. Pramod seriously forgets to call Susheela where he promised to do that everyday.
Susheela is still waiting for Pramod's call. She doesn't want to disturb him with her call that's why she keeps waiting for him.
After sometime, Pramod gets up and remembers that a class is there and studies as well. So he goes to attend the class. Still he doesn't remember about the promise.
Susheela also returns home after finishing college. She feels so bad and irritated that can't resist herself from calling Pramod anymore (Susheela is a bit short- tempered, right😁?).
Pramod is in his class right now and his phone rings. He kept his volume low so can't notice anyone's call. On the other hand, Susheela keeps dialling Pramod's number.
Finishing class, Pramod comes out of the room and gets his phone out. !!!SHOCKED!!! 18 missed calls from Susheela ji? In mind-

"Oh no! Now what will you do Pramod? How could you forget to call her? Now Susheela ji will not leave you easily (tensed)..."

Pramod calls her back.

"Hello?"

"No you remembered me? How did you remember me so fast? You could've simply forgot me forever? No why could? You should've never called me back! You should've blocked me everywhere, right? One day, I didn't meet you only one day and you forgot me so easily? Now after 5 or 6 days, you'll start saying that who is Susheela ji? I don't know her..(weird voice)"

"Susheela ji relax! Please let me at least explain? I was too busy and after exams, coming back home I had slept & forgot to call you...And then.."
*Can't finish*

"What then? At least you could have informed me once? Couldn't call then could have messaged me? How tensed I was thinking about you! What type of thoughts were there surrounding my mind that if anything wrong happened (scared voice)! I called you so many times and you..."

"Okay okay, I'm really sorry Susheela ji... I promise, you'll never have to face such problems from now on. Now tell me you forgave me?"

"No I didn't!"

"Susheela ji please!"

"No!"

"Please (innocent voice).."

".....hmmm okay fine..."

"(Smiles) Yesss! By the way, Susheela ji how did you know that I'm fine? No I mean, I could have also faced anything like accident or..."
*Can't finish*

"SHUT UP! What are you saying? Never even talk about these things! And, I called at your home and Minnie aunty received.. she said that you were at home and would just leave for a class... but I didn't say her that you weren't calling me.. And why would I? You should've called me on your own! I'm so hurt today! And if you hadn't called me back today Pramod, then I would have surely come to you to break your bones!"

"(Laughs loudly) Susheela ji what a nice joke it was!"

"Hmm hmmm.. It wasn't a joke! Will come some day for sure!"

"Okay.. so my lady, you want to talk anymore?"

"Ohh! Why? Feeling disturbed?"

"No, not at all! Let's talk for more 6 or 7 hours, right?"

"Don't taunt me, okay? Now I'll cut off, I have to go.. so many chores are there to do now.."

"(Smiles) Okay.. Bye!"

"Hmm bye.."

Next part- Exams end, new issue! What can it be? Keep guessing..
