Part 16 # Hearts Break

(So as I said, I'll pass the exams situation soon, here it comes to an end.. Now let's see the new track.)

Almost 3 weeks the examination goes on. Pramod studied very hard for a better result in exams and both Susheela & Pramod had to stay not meeting each other for such a long time. Finally, the exams end but Pramod doesn't inform Susheela as he knows, if Susheela gets to know that exams have ended, then she will surely come to meet him. But due to some important assignments, Pramod thinks to meet Susheela after finishing all these works & being free. In these days, he plans only to talk with Susheela over phone just like they used to talk before. It took almost 10 days for Pramod to finish all the work he had. Susheela feels very restless as she notices that Pramod is taking a long time and examination must have already ended... then why he is still not meeting her...
The next day, Pramod completes his assignments and comes to college deciding to meet Susheela. Susheela is also present.

"Priyu, what's the matter of the examination?"

"Our examination? Don't worry, you've a lot of time! It's after 2 months!"

"Ufff! Noo! Not ours!"

"Ooohh! 3rd year's? I mean Pramod's?

"YESSS!!!"

"That already ended 10 days ago... and you're asking now? Today? Today the results will also be published as well!"

"What! Results?"

"Hmmm... Why? Didn't Pramod tell you? Go and see outside before sir comes, the results are being published now!"

"Let me go..."

Susheela goes to check the results board. Sees, Pramod is standing there. He checks his results and gets too happy! Why? Of course as his results are too good! He simply gets out of the crowd and notices Susheela. Susheela holds Pramod's hand tightly and takes him behind the college building.

"Susheela ji listen, I know you're feeling angry now but whatever I did was necessary! I had to do and...
*Can't finish*

"Yess! You had to do! But you didn't! You had to inform me at least once! But you didn't! Now what should I think, that I'm literally nothing in your life! You never feel like informing me anything! You don't even discuss the important things with me, let alone simple ones!"

"Susheela ji please don't say like that! You're everything in my life! But I wasn't sharing this with anyone so did same with you..."

"What were you doing which you couldn't tell anyone?"

"Actually, Susheela ji I was having some assignments for abroad scholarships for which I was trying from a long time!"

"Abroad scholarships? Pramod? You're going abroad?"

"Ummm... Susheela ji think practically please, if I study in such famous educational institutions and do not go abroad, then isn't that a waste? Waste of my studies? Waste of my intelligence? Waste of my life? Tomorrow, some people will come with the proposal... And as far I know, I will get it."
Pramod tries to go but Susheela holds his hand.

"What about our marriage, Pramod?"

"We will surely think about that."

Susheela leaves Pramod's hand and her eyes get teary. And Pramod? Pramod gets teary eyed also but doesn't show. He turns and goes to his classroom. After 4 or 5 minutes. Susheela wipes her tears slightly and goes back to her class.

The next morning some abroad companies come in the college with scholarships proposals for students. And the news is, Pramod gets chosen for a very special scholarship offer! It's a study opportunity for 3 years and after that, if anyone wants he/she can get a job there, too! Only 6 students from this college are selected for that & among them, Pramod is there! When Priyanka gets this information, she runs to tell Susheela.

"Sushi, Pramod received that scholarship option! Isn't that a great news?"

"(Smiles) Maybe...."
