Me and Colby walk downstairs to our parents. I see my mom and she runs to me hugging me.

"I'm so happy your okay!", my mom says, "but I'm also mad you didn't call me!"

"I handled it didn't I?", I say.

"True", she says laughing.

Mrs.Brock hugs me, "I'm glad your ok"

I smile hugging her back. I tell the cops what happened then they leave.

"Colby what happened to you?", Mrs.Brock asks looking at Colby.

"Nicole punched me when she saw me. She thought it was her dad", colby says.

"Oh", she laughs

"Well I'm tired, can I go to bed now?", I ask.

"Yes", my mom says.

"Okay, goodnight I love you!", I hug my mom.

"I love you too"

I say goodbye to Colby and his mom then go upstairs to my room. I change into a tank top and sleep shorts then lay in bed.

30 minutes later
My phone goes off and I open it.

Next day at school

"Your dad is out of jail?!", Kat says as we're sitting at lunch.

"He was but they arrested him again last night", I say.

"How did he get out?", Sam asks.

"I don't know, I mean my dad isn't stupid so it wasn't really a huge surprise"

"Did he hurt you again?", Kat asks.

"No"

"Wow, really?"

"Yes, can we change the subject?", I say not wanting to continue it.

"Yeah", Sam says.

Sam and Kat start talking about something else and colby nudges me, "what?", I ask quietly, "why didn't you tell them?", colby asks, "this isn't the place to talk about it at". He nods and we finish eating while listening to Sam and Kat talk.

After lunch me and Kat walk to our next class. As we're walking I hear my name be called.

"Nicole!", a slightly familiar voice yells.

I turn around and see Haley walking towards me. I sigh and Kat glares at her. Haley reaches us and has a smirk on her face.

"So Nicole, heard about your dad breaking out of jail. What happened?"

"How did you know about that?", I ask.

"I have my ways"

"Haley leave me alone", I say turning around walking, she grabs my hand turning me back around, "no, I need to talk to you"

I shake her hand off, "fuck off!"

"It's about Colby", Haley says.

I look at Kat and she has a confused face, "What is it Haley?"

"He was at my place last night, he came over asking to be with me again"

"No, your lying"

"Nope, here's proof", she shows me a picture of her and colby in her phone.

"You bitch!", I go to slap her and Kat grabs my hand, "let's go", Kat pulls me to our class and I hear Haley laughing with her friends.

"Do you think that was real kat?", I ask as we walk to my car.

"No, you know how Haley is. I wouldn't think to much about it. Besides he would've told you if he went over there", Kat says.

"I don't know, should I ask him about it?"

"If you want to, I wouldn't think to much about it. Just dont be a bitch about it if you do"

"He's probably is mad at me, I've been ignoring him all day"

"It'll be ok, I'm sure he won't be too mad"

We get to my car and I see Sam and Colby standing by their cars. They smile at us and we walk to them, "hey girls, Y'all ready to go home?", Sam asks.

"Yeah, um Colby could you come to my house? I need to talk to you", I ask Colby.

"Yeah, I need to talk to you too", Colby says in a not so happy tone.

My heart drops, he knows somethings up.

Me and Kat get in my car and I drive her home. She opens her door then looks at me, "you sure you don't want me to go with you? I don't mind to, just to make sure y'all don't fight". I smile, "no, I'll be fine. Go inside and I'll text you later to let you know what happens". She smiles and hugs me, "alright, I love you". I hug her back, "love you too". She gets out and I get a text from Colby.
