As soon as Zima returned, she was immediately approached by her friends.
"Where were you?" Sif asked, "We were looking for you after you suddenly ran off, but we couldn't find you."
"Did he tell you?" Zima asked.
"Did who tell us what?" Sif replied, "What are you talking about?"
"About him." Zima says frustrated, "Did Thor tell you?"
"Zima, slow down." Fandral tells her, "What's going on?"
She explained everything that had happened from overhearing Thor's conversation to the gala in Germany to SHIELD and the Helicarrier. A silence followed from her friends when Sif spoke.
"Are you sure that was what you saw?" She asked.
"I've never been more sure." Zima replies, "I was there. I saw it all happen. He practically told me."
"I knew there was something about him I didn't like." Fandral says.
Sif put a hand on her friend's shoulder in reassurance. "I'm sorry that happened. Is there anything we can do to help?"
Zima paused for a moment to think about it before looking at her friends. "I'm gonna need your help. Before I returned, I told Thor I needed to be ready should there be a fight I can't avoid. I'm going to need your help."
The Warriors Three seemed excited at her idea for more training and the group headed to the training room. They each take turns sparring against each other as they fight, Zima still continuing to use her non ice magic as well. This continued for a while, until some guards approached them during a break, asking for Zima.
"Thor sent us to find you." One guard says.
"He's back already?" She asks.
The guards nod and lead her away, where Thor is waiting for her.
"What happened?" She asked him. "Tell me everything."
And that is what Thor did. He explained every moment as best as he could from Hulk's rampage on the helicarrier, to Coulson, to the Battle of New York. When he was done, Zima shook her head in disappointment.
"I just don't understand." She says, "How could any of this happen? Was there something we missed? Something that could have been done?"
"I don't know. Just don't blame yourself. There was so much either of us could do." Thor tells her.
"I'm aware, but..." She doesn't finish her thought. "Where is he?"
"You won't be able to see him."
"And why is that?"
"His fate is still being decided."
That was all Zima needed to hear before she turned and walked away. She searched through the palace, and found Odin and Frigga talking.
"Tell me you aren't going to do it." She says.
"Do what?" Frigga asks.
"Tell me you are not going to kill him." Zima responds.
"Are you not aware of what he has done?" Odin asks.
"I am more than aware." Zima says, "I was there for some of it, and Thor told me the rest."
"Then you should understand the severity of his actions." Odin says.
"So you would really condemn him to die?" Zima challenges, her eyes briefly flashing red.
"Zima, please relax." Frigga says, "Of course it won't come to that. I promise. Now please, go get some rest. I will come find you and talk with you about this later."
Zima reluctantly agrees, nodding to the Queen before turning to leave, making her way to her room. In an attempt to distract herself, she worked on more art, and when she couldn't focus on that, she practiced her magic. Now all she could do was wait.
