(Krisha POV)
I wake up to my brother jumping up and down on me and a bright light casting onto my face. What is he? Five? I push him off and roll to the side groggily, checking the time on my phone. 8 AM? Damn, I barely got any sleep, but it was worth it ;). I got up and out of my tent and saw that mostly everybody was already awake and were cooking breakfast or heading to the bathrooms to freshen up. I looked around for a certain someone, and saw him yawning as he exited his tent. I smiled to myself at how cute Shrivan's bed head was. Mine probably looked horrible. I started to get self-conscious, scared that he might think I'm ugly. I quickly grab my stuff from my tent and head to the bathrooms with Sid.
When I got to the bathrooms, I saw Isha there with her mom, and they were also getting ready for the long day ahead of us. It was going to be so boring, not being able to interact with Shrivan. I joined Isha and made some small talk with her, before she and her mom left. I find myself alone, addictively glancing over my shoulder at the bathroom door, hoping my boyfriend... boyfriend? It just came out so smoothly, but I guess we never did put a title on our relationship. Technically, we've never even been on a date, so I guess we're not dating, but we've kissed a couple of times, like couples do, so maybe we are boyfriend and girlfriend. I'll have to ask Shrivan. I find myself so deep in my thought, that I don't even notice my mom walk into the bathroom. I hadn't see her when I woke up, so I monotonely told her good morning, and she did the same, looking at me suspiciously.
"Krisha?" my mom asks, turning to face me.
"Yeah?" I question, apprehensively. I heard a tone of curiosity and disapproval in her voice, and it scared me.
"When did you come back from the bathroom last night?" she asks.
I begin to feel the heat rush to my cheeks and start fidgeting with my hair. I look around quickly for a lie, and can't think of anything, so I blurt out the first thing that comes to my mind.
"Oh, yeah, I came back in, like, an hour because I had explosive diarrhea from the Chipotle we got yesterday," I say.
I gasp, raising my hands to my mouth. My mom looks at me weirdly, probably thinking I'm kidding, and then leaves, obviously not wanting to go deeper into that conversation.
"Don't take much longer, Krisha," she yells, as she walks back to the tents.
Shit, did I really say that? Jesus Christ, this is so hard. I quickly finish up getting ready and head out. I'm looking down at my phone while walking and bump into some twigly figure. My phone drops to the ground, and I bend over to pick it up, but I already see those already familiar hands on top of my phone. I grin to myself, and put my hand on top of his, cherishing these little moments we get with each other when nobody's watching. Shrivan looks around quickly, making sure nobody's near us, before giving me a quick peck on the lips. We smile at each other, and he hands me my phone. I force myself to walk away, before things get out of hand, because there is definitely some sexual tension in the air. I can just feel it.
"You look really pretty today, Krisha," he whispers in my ear, as I walk past him. I blush hard and try to ignore the butterflies in my stomach as I make my way over to my friends.
(Shrivan POV)
Throughout the day, I try to have as many secret moments with Krisha as possible. We all decide to spend the day at the beach though, so we can't really make as much contact as we want to. And trust me, I really want to make some contact, if you know what I mean. I pretty much just kept to myself the whole day, and tried to keep some distance between us. I caught Krisha occasionally staring at me and I admired her a lot, too. When she wasn't looking, of course. It took a lot of effort not to talk to her, smile at her, hug her, or make any contact with her at all. :( I just need to get through this day, so we can see each other again at midnight. You can do it, Shrivan!
