Syrhane's POV

"Prof Tiu!" rinig kong tawag ng isang doktor.

I was immediately distracted when I saw who he had called. A tall, mestizo doctor approached the patient who had been involved in a car accident not far from our direction here in the ER.

"What are his vital signs?" For a brief moment, his deep voice made my heart skip a beat.

"Temperature is 98.5 degrees, pulse is 38, respirations is 23 and her BP is 80 over 60." sagot naman ng doktor na tumawag sakanya.

He was a compact, clearcut man, with precise features, a lot of a very soft black hair, and his almond-shaped eyes, were in-fire with passion. His bristly eyebrows were above his round shaped glasses, and his eyelashes were thick and lengthy as far as I could tell from afar. His large shoulders were part of his hefty frame, and he had a solid jaw. He was deceitful and moved with the elegance of a leopard.

Biglang tumunog ang machine signal kaya agad silang nagkagulo, "He's in cardiac arrest." sabi nito at agad binigyan ng CPR ang pasyente.

As he began CPR on the patient, I couldn't take my look away from him. My gaze quickly traveled to his neck, where his Adams apple is positioned, as he remains serious and concentrated.

"Good job, Syrhane!

I haven't seen that doctor in over a year. I discovered that he is a cardiothoracic surgeon, a well-known and successful surgeon in the country. Even his name, Soren Tiu, has a sultry ring to it.

"I'm just talking to myself, Ellie." sabi ko sakanya.

"Nako, delikado na po yan. Gusto niyo bang mag book ako ng psychiatrist? I will inform your manager about it." lumapit ito saakin at hinawakan ang aking kamay kaya bumuntong hininga ako at pagod siyang tinignan.

Our entire family's world came crashing down when we learned that my brother had been diagnosed with a brain tumor in Switzerland, where he is currently residing. My grandmother immediately told him to abandon his work as a pianist in Switzerland and come to the Philippines for a bit. It's a terrible disease, according to the specialist who diagnosed it as cancerous.

My brother made the decision to leave Switzerland and undergo surgery in the Philippines. My brother's surgery was assigned to Siobhan Placencia. She was described as the most proficient and successful neurosurgeon in the hospital, as well as the country, according to the hospital director.
