"What are you two lovebirds doing?" A voice asked.

JJ and I jumped apart as we saw Sarah come into view.

"We were having a moment before you came and crashed it, Princess." JJ said defensively.

"Where's John B?" I asked Sarah.

"I think he went to go get Pope and Cleo,"

"Don't we need to get wood for the fire? Kie and I'll go this way, you go there," JJ said.

I knew he wanted to get me alone, but the moment was over.

"No, that's fine. I'll come with you guys," Sarah said, smiling. She wasn't clueless, she was just teasing JJ.

JJ grumbled under his breath but put up with it.

The three of us made our way to where we usually got the wood from. Except when we got there, most of the wood was gone.

"Hmm. That's weird, I'll ask John B if we used up all the wood yesterday." Sarah thought.

"We could look on the other side." I pointed out.

"Yeah, but we've never been there," JJ said.

"It's not like we can hide from it forever."

"Okay then," He said.

We all made our way to the other side.

Sarah ran ahead and looked up at the tall trees surrounding some sort of cocoon area.

"Oh my God! You guys, there's something in there!" She cried.

"What?" I said, running up to see what she was talking about.

Sarah was right.

It seemed that within the trees, there was something hidden in them. I could only see a little bit since the rest was covered in trees. It seemed to be some sort of building?

"I thought the island was empty," JJ remarked.

"Guess not." Sarah said.

"Should we go and see inside?" I asked.

I looked at the two of them. Sarah looked skeptical but JJ looked ready.

JJ couldn't go long without some sort of adventure. It showed on his face. Every time he surfed, there was a look of hunger on his face, and I knew he was thinking of going out farther to see what lay beyond our island. But Pope always ended up talking him out of it.

I knew one day he wouldn't listen.

"Let's do it!"

The three of us huddled a little closer together.

I took a deep breath and said, "Well, we've almost died, like, three times. So, what's one more, right?"

And we stepped into the green.
