Headcannon (?):
APH nations being used to their different ways of saying "I love you". Whether be it through hugs, cheek kisses, cuddles, hand holding, verbally saying it, rough love, gentle love, through actions, etc. They know that when they show it, they really do mean it with all their heart. Because love and affection can come through all kinds of forms.
