19 | New Years Celebration

The boys were back for New Years after spending Christmas with their families. I had avoided Niki for a while after what had happened. He seemed to be doing the same too but it was quite easy because eventually Jay invited him to his house and he stayed there for a while. I spent most of the day away from the dorm either going to Han river, going to the studio, or being around my brother and his group members.

The first pair to enter the dorm were Sunoo and Jungwon because they lived closer and didn't have to follow a plane like the others except Sunghoon. Heeseung, Niki, and Jay came after them before Jake and Sunghoon arrived a few hours later.

We were told that we had a New Years celebration to get to for the whole of Hybe meaning the other Sunbaes would be around like GFriend and Seventeen. The boys had been practicing ballroom dancing while I stayed at the dorm.

We got into two separate cars. Throughout the day I'd been quiet with both my AirPods in my ears blasting slowed down sad music. I've also been wearing a lot of long sleeves and full body clothing so I was really hoping Taesul wouldn't style me in something that showed my skin especially with my mild bruises that were still fading.

Bloody crescents were engraved into my palm by now because of how often I push my nails in them. I obviously kept my palms out of sight especially from my brother because I wasn't ready to see his look of disappointment.

When we arrived, we were immediately separated and rushed to private rooms to get ready. The boys went to theirs and I was taken to mine. Along the way, I could see almost all the staff going up and down to get stuff for their idols. The corridors were filled with people just for this particular event.

When I got to the room, Chanmi, Chanwoo, and Taesul were already waiting.

"Yoonie!!" Taesul yelled engulfing me in a hug making us almost fall over.

"Henna, give the girl some space she's probably tired already." Chanmi remarked prying her off me.

"Taesul give the girl a break okay?" Chanwoo teased making Taesul roll her eyes and start attacking him. Their banter made me smile, the first smile in weeks. I really missed them.

"Ria darling, come on let's get you ready." Chanmi pulled me towards the chair and I sat down. She took my hair out of the bun I had on and lightly combed it through. My hair was already clean considering I washed it this morning.

"The theme of the event is elegant right?" Taesul spoke out grabbing my attention when she brought out 4 dresses, 2 not being mine because of the size.

"The staff are also making an appearance, Bang PD himself brought us all together and told us that he wanted us present." Chanmi explained to me

"How was your break unnie?" I asked

"Not too bad, Dokyun and I went for another date, it was truly magical." She beamed

"That must be wonderful."

"It was. Chanwoo, you know your job. Stop disturbing Taesul and go get ready before we're done with Aria." Chanmi called out to him as Taesul was about to suffocate him with one of the throw pillows.
