note : SORRY FOR THE LONG UPDATE BUT HERE IT IS! i'm actually a very lazy person so i'm really bad at getting things done :( but always managing to write like 8k once again haizzz.. even this is a really long chapter, i hope yall would enjoy it!

so-

chuuya really made a big mistake. because- it wasn't like those petty bickering or short quarrels they used to have. such small bickering sessions would be resolved quickly but seeing how dazai hadn't reached out to him for what seemed like a week, meant that he was really, really mad.

like he said, it was just a damn week. but without the numerous spam messages, video calls the bastard has been disturbing him on a daily basis, without the usual black, expensive car waiting for him outside twice a week to go out on their usual date, it felt strange. well- it's true to finally feel peace for once and that he could finally take a break from that idiot

but-

it still felt weird. it's simple though. if you've been experiencing things on a daily basis but suddenly don't experience them anymore, it would feel a little weird and strange right? because chuuya does not agree when he talked to higuchi about this. she had the audacity to say he actually missed the idiot. the fucking idiot he couldn't wait to get rid of. the highly annoying bastard who is always up to no good. the stupid dumbass that wouldn't stop teasing him.

how could he miss that idiot, dazai? nah, it's impossible. it just feel strange. that's all. nothing more, nothing less. "so you're going to keep lying to yourself like this." the blonde-haired girl opposite him spoke with a sigh, sounding like she's so damn done with the clueless ginger.

"what do you mean by 'lying to myself'?" chuuya rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his coffee. they both decided to meet up at a nearby cafe since ahem- chuuya was being a considerate person about dazai. is there something wrong about him being a decent gentleman that asks about the well-being of someone he knows?

"just admit you want to see dazai. stop beating around the bush with all those 'caring about his well-being' bullshit. if you're so curious, why don't you go to port mafia yourself to see." higuchi seems to be in a terrible mood, considering how hectic her work has been and how her boss seems to be giving everyone a real hard time.

besides- she doesn't want to tolerate with these two idiots tension anymore. it's obvious they care for each other, so why the hell can't they just meet up like normal human beings? she was tired of being the middleman already. "i can't do that." chuuya's eyes furrowed into a small frown.

"why is that so? still playing hard to get? let's face the facts, dazai hasn't lasted one week without whining to see you before which means he's real mad this time round. you've got to compensate to him." higuchi spoke nonchalantly because all she was stating were real facts. dazai wasn't able to last two days before, let alone one whole week.

"i still think i didn't do anything wrong." chuuya said as he crossed his arms on his chest in annoyance. "and who's side are you on?!? shouldn't you be supporting your friend?" the ginger still believes he has done nothing wrong. so why should he be the one to apologize? it was just a tiny conversation, did he need to make such a big deal out of it?
