chapter title : i never let you go anymore

summary : dazai tries to patch things up again, in his life, he really needs chuuya. how is he going to solve it though?

finally, a happy ending(?)

"well... i would say it's completely well-deserved. you put that upon yourself." higuchi shrug her shoulders nonchalantly, disinterestedly checking her nails.

"SHUSH- boss is already in a really bad mood." akutagawa glared at the blonde mafia member, but she didn't seem to care, continuing to attack dazai even further. after all, it's what he really deserved. because of him, she wasn't able to contact chuuya recently.

"it isn't my fault, is it? if i were chuuya, i would ignore him to the fullest too. chuuya isn't some shameless whore, okay? of course, he wouldn't accept your money." higuchi rolled her eyes rather dramatically but honestly she do be enjoying this right now.

dazai's face just gotten darker and darker, wrinkles and eyebrows creasing with worry, desperately using his fingers to rub away the immense headache rising up. he knew he messed up, but not to this far, okay? he knew that chuuya would ignore him, he was prepared(okay maybe not so much) but he couldn't believe chuuya would let down his dream just like that.

"boss didn't plan for this to happen, you-" akutagawa's chiding towards higuchi got interrupted when dazai suddenly stood up from his office chair, stalking towards the blonde, wearing a serious expression on his face.

higuchi tried to act nonchalant but she knows well enough how scary this man stalking towards her can be. she could have her head snapped off in an instant. maybe she went too far- but she doesn't really care. she meant what she said. every single word.

"what do you suppose i should do?" when the brunette finally stopped walking and directed his words towards the stunned blonde, the expression on his face turned into something way softer, looking tired yet concerned. "i didn't expect chuuya to give up on his dream like that..." he trailed off, already feeling tears about to gather.

higuchi was startled, she never ever thought the infamous dazai osamu, her boss, would be directing such a genuine question to her. was she the one to sought love advice from? perhaps, her boss didn't know she's actually still very single.

"urm-" words lodge at the tip of her throat, still a little shock but continued smoothly right after, "chuuya is an very earnest person. he doesn't take advantages of people and he doesn't want to be a burden to anyone. so- the only solution you have right now, is to patch things up with him."

"what do you mean?" her boss seems genuinely clueless. gosh- such a smart person yet still doesn't understand relationship matters. the both of them really need some help.

"which means you should tell chuuya the real way you feel for him. that you actually really love him and you want to make him yours." the blonde sighed, the both of them are so hopeless, even someone single like her knows more than them.

higuchi really wants to see her friend happy again. despite chuuya doing well these days and definitely better than dazai is doing, she knows her friend is actually feeling really empty inside. he was just hiding all of these feelings with that smile of his. something he is really skilled at doing. definitely not a good skill.

"but... i can't- i got to protect him. if i bring him back to my side again, other organizations would target him." this made higuchi roll her eyes even more dramatically than before. the miscommunication between these two is actually so bad. guess love makes you stupid.
