wow, this was the first time akutagawa actually witness how scary his boss can be. his boss, dazai osamu, seems to be unable to control his feelings at all. frustration, anxiety, worry as well as guilt. this all feels like a historical moment. a truly, fascinating one.

after the call with whomever was on the other line, his boss's expressions totally changed into a even darker, more threatening one. even as his personal bodyguard, one who always serve and carry out his orders, one who gets to see his boss the most often, he has never encountered such a situation before.

his boss was always known to be a calm, calculative and stern person. he never showed much emotions, needless to say if such a thing happened before he met chuuya, none of such emotions will show nor will there be such emotions present in the first place.

akutagawa also personally knows the ginger. he feels worried for him too especially since atsushi was unable to rest well after knowing his best friend had been most probably kidnapped by one of the dangerous personals in the mafia community. akutagawa grit his teeth tightly together and he stalks around the headquarters, giving out orders left and right.

after knowing who the unknown kidnapper is, it's much easier to locate where him and chuuya might be hiding. "akuatagwa. have the location been found?" the bodyguard jolted in surprise, taken aback at the sudden appearance of his boss. even after working for the brunette for nearly close to 7 years, he still sometimes feel intimidated by said man.

especially since now he's in such a bad mood, it's best not to trigger him. "yes." akutagawa replied in a small voice, "i sending many teams to the location right now."

what shocked the bodyguard even more was how his boss seemed to be ready to set out, seeming to hide many weapons and gears in his clothes and amongst his outfit. "let me follow one of the teams." akutagawa knew he needed to ensure his boss's safety and it's an unwise decision to let his boss tag along in this mission but- he seemed determine.

akutagawa has never seen his boss in such a state before. today is sure to be a surprise itself. sure, there have been times where dazai was determine and strict about certain missions before but all he really did was just craft routes and plans for the rest of them to take. even if an important mafia member, like an executive was in need of help, the man never really volunteered to take action.

he only adds himself into the plan if he needed to. akutagawa has never seen his boss this enthusiastic before. "but boss, we have to ensure your safety, we'll make sure to bring-"

dazai immediately cuts off his sentence. there's no stopping him, is there? "akutagawa. i said i'll tag along, which means i will and you'll let me." akutagawa looked up shocked at the contrast of the tone his boss was speaking and his facial expression. despite sounding harsh and blunt, the expression he was wearing was filled with plea, worry and most importantly, it was genuine.

akutagawa almost teared up at the sight of his boss at such a state. he doesn't know whether he should feel happy or sad. he's glad that his boss finally could express emotions and feelings so well. when he first step into this community, he thought that his boss was incapable of expressing emotions. just a cold brick, he really thought he was diagnosed with alexithymia.
