Nobody Compares To You

JUST YOU AND ME

AUTHOR'S POV:

She told him to stop the car in front of the open ground.

jk: " Is star gazing ur surprise? Is that what we are here for?

Neph: " Nope! I planned our date as I would like to spend my weekends you know. "

jk: " Ok! so what's the plan? "

Neph: " Let's go. " she said smiling, instead of answering him, already getting out of the car. 

He smiled a little too at her behavior, getting out of the car. 

She was already walking in front of him, kook following after her. 

After a minute or two, they both stopped and kook was much in awe as much as he was surprised.

Neph was just looking at his reaction observing it to find any disappointment or dis-liking but found none, so she just circled her hands around kook's arm. He looked at her with a smile adorning his pretty face.

jk: " This ..... it's really really pretty how did you even come up with it? "

Neph: " Well... I just did. " she said shrugging while smiling too. 

jk: " U really are amazing "

Neph: " It's nthg big. " she said while still hanging onto his arm and looking down at her feet to hide her much evident blush.

jk: " Let's go inside hm? " 

They settled themself cozily beside each other.  She sighed in contentment and placed her head on his shoulders. 

jk: " You tired? " he asked, as he placed a hand at her back for her to be comfortable.

She responded by shaking her head in no. 

Neph: " I'm not tired, just at peace. It's good to be here. It's good to be away from chaos even for a day. You know, and your presence just makes it better. "  she told him while focusing out. 

He felt his heart getting warm at her words. Words weren't anything special, they were simple, sweet, and yet they manage to warm his heart. As it wasn't just words that mattered, the feeling and the person mattered even more. 

He rested her head on hers as well. Both enjoying the silence that surrounded them and the closeness between them, feeling content at the moment. 

 Comfortable silence was broken when neph decided to talk.

Neph: " You planned smthg for our second date yet? "

jk: " hmm... But don't wanna give spoilers. " he said showing his bunny teeth.

Neph pouted a little at that.

Neph: " But u'll have to tell me anyways eventually so what does it matter? " 

Jk emphasized a word.

jk: " eventually, yea eventually u'll know, but for now let it be a surprise " 

Silence fell again, kook knew that she wasn't much of a talker and It's not like he minds it anyways, and if he's being honest, he did actually enjoyed the silence for the very first time in his life, he never knew that so many emotions can be exchanged while just sitting in silence, not verbally but emotionally, he liked it. He really did. Just being in the moment with her in this serenity of night was enough for him to never forget their  first date ever.  

 Being together, out at night, sitting under stars, and just sitting not even talking, or doing anything 'people' usually do. you would say that it's pretty stupid and boring .... maybe it was. For others not for them 'cause for them, they  were content in each other. 

Neph looked at the time and the screen read 10:45. It was late, they had to leave for which she wasn't ready yet. Still, life goes on. 

She sat up properly, straightening her posture. 

Neph: " It's late, we should go." she said smiling, holding adoration and many unspoken words for him. 

jk: " Let's go then, you need your beauty sleep anyways " 

This comment was able to bring a smile to her lips. 

They came out of the tent to leave, but in between tracks she turned around and hugged him. First, he was startled but then he just smiled and hugged her back, keeping her close to himself without saying or asking anything. 

Neph: " I like hugs " she stated. 

jk: " Noted. " he said. 

She didn't want him to know that her cheeks are tinted a shade of pink with the much evident blush so she just hid her face in his broad, hard chest. Thinking he won't know. He knew tho.          They continued to be in each other's arms until neph pulled out, 'we really need to go' she said and he just dragged her still side hugging to the car and they drove off to their final and last destination of the night....... their houses. 

They parted their way with 'Good nights' and 'Seen you soon.' Waving 'byes' and smiling at each other and that's how they ended the night. The night of their first date.
